Solène and Stéphane are the best hosts you could ever imagine, they are bringing such a good energy on this pristine resort with magnificent view! Stéphane took us for a dawn patrol surf sessions with the quads, and spent a lot of time with us on the evening ☺️. We will definitely come back!

Nice simple traditional home located close to everything you need. Eddie has been super helpful, helping us find our way and giving useful recommandations for our roadtrip. Thank you Eddie!

Naprosto fantastické. Vše předčilo naše očekávání. Záměrně jsme tentokrát vybírali místo mimo město a přímé pobřeží. Ubytování je v nádherném stylovém (a tradičním) domě, ve kterém naleznete vše, co potřebujete. Z ubytování je výhled na kopce a moře. Hostitelkou je Imelda, která se o nás se svým týmem výtečně postarala. Jak lidé, tak místo nás silně oslovilo a pokud se budeme vracet na Sumbu, určitě sem.

Anna Villas by Sumba-Beach se nachází v destinaci Memboro a má zahradu. Tento hotel s 5 hvězdičkami nabízí pokojovou službu a službu concierge. Tento hotel má terasu a výhled na moře. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, the experience at the villa was amazing. The villas were very modern and well appointed. The staff really takes care of you at this villa. You are steps away from a private beach with very few people (if any) which is quite the opposite of Bali. The staff brought out a beach chair and a table. I had cocktails on the beach. Staff provided me with snorkeling gear and water shoes as well. I arrived late at night and the staff made sure I had dinner within an hour or so of my arrival. Talk with the staff! They are amazing people and enjoy what they do. My only regret is that I wish I could have stayed longer! You won't regret it!

Umarato Villa Sumba se nachází v destinaci Rua a poskytuje venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge a terasu. It takes about 1.5 hour from the nearest airport. In a secluded area. But when we arrive, we are greeted with such amazing view! Nice property, secluded and tranquil. We are facilitated with full service, and our children comfort is well taken care off. They are super happy because they can harvested their own vegetable to table. They are building new properties, single unit villas with their own private pools and facilities. Perfect for future romantic escape. Not to forget to mention their exceptional restaurant, Umanga'a. We have a top notch dinning experience celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We would love to going back to Umarato in our future holiday.

Hars Garden Sumba se nachází ve Waingapu a má zahradu. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. Vlastní koupelna je vybavená sprchou. We had an amazing stay at Har's place. The location is nothing short of dreamy, with amazing views of the valley hills just in front. Har has constructed all the houses (I recall around 3-4 now) by himself, you can check on his IG for more detail on how he built them! All of them are really comfortable and unique, following the local architecture, blending with nature and each of them providing a different experience. Har is an expert and consultant on organic farming and produces his own veggies that he uses to cook the most fantastic breakfasts you will ever have, super yummy and different everyday, with the plus of overviewing the views directly from your stay. Don't forget also to order dinner from him, much better than eating anywhere else, every meal was amazing. Har always went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable, showed as around his plantation (he plants to reforest the area with a thousand fruit trees!) and the best: he gave us the best tips on the island, pointing spots that are not even in Google Maps and ready to explore. Think on pristine waterfalls, empty beaches, beautiful local villages, hills, etc. Please visit Har and Sumba before it gets ruined by the evils of mass tourism, and please visit with an open mind, it's raw, wild, authentic, and that's why is missing facilities compared with other destinations, but that what make it so unique and special. Thanks so much Har, we cannot wait to visit you again, cannot wait to see your new creations, houses, farm and forest!

Alamayah Boutique Retreat Hotel se nachází v destinaci Deke a nabízí ubytování s venkovním bazénem, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, fitness centrem a zahradou. The hotel is beautifully designed and in a beautiful area very close to some picturesque beaches. The staff are very friendly and attentive and make it easy to organise trips and activities so you can experience Sumba. Surf lessons are a lot of fun and the village tour and waterfall tour are both great. Cocktails were really good, as was the food at breakfast. The hotel seems to have a good relationship with the local people and seems to have genuinely benefitted Sumba.

Maringi Sumba by the Sumba Hospitality Foundation se nachází v destinaci Waikelo a nabízí kola zdarma, venkovní bazén, zahradu a terasu. The staff here is beyond delightful, they made the stay! Helpful, friendly. The aromatherapy massage was excellent as well!
