Andy and his team really put their heart into this lovely place, it has the charm of Japanese countryside but run with professional care. - The room: we stayed in the two bedroom, it was spacious and clean with brand-new heater, toilet and shower. - Food: breakfast was great, western style and Japanese style were both provided. - Facilities: amazing onsen on the 1st floor, and the lobby has a fireplace, can do bar and Japanese bbq here. - Pet-friendly: Yes! Andy and Rika’s dogs are cute! - Nearby: walking distance to a wetland and rice fields, the snow scenery is stunning. It’s also close to Lake Aoki, where many people visit the lakeside cafe. - Transportation: the hotel arranged station and ski resort pick-up. Feel free to ask if you need a private ride to other parts of Nagano, their tour service is great!

Neighborhood is so nice and quiet with some good local restaurants and bus terminal is near. Breakfast is super! So delicious and looks beautiful. Hot spring is good enough to heal my fatigue after hiking. Staff is so nice and everything is so clean.

We had the most amazing stay over Christmas in Apricot Pension. The host and all the staff were so warm, welcoming and accommodating during our stay. The shuttle for the ski field is a 1 minute walk from the hotel and the room was perfect for relaxing in after a day on the slopes with a comfortable bed and a projector for watching movies. The lodge also had a gorgeous fire that was lit each night. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and it was only a 10/15 minute walk to restaurants, bars and shops.

One of the best experiences I have ever had living in such a family running bed and breakfast place. I felt right at home. Nicky and Mary are both welcoming and thoughtful through the whole time. Highly recommended for people who plans to winter skiing or summer hiking around Hakuba area.

Including a small kitchenette which was perfect for cooking up dinner. Excellent location: walkable/bike able to bus station, supermarket ,Happo One Gondola, onsen. Really helpful staff, pick up/drop off from train station. Nice breakfast. Laundry facilities.

From Gaspards hospitality to his organisation, everything is easy, smooth and streamlined. Multiple shuttles to either the main bus terminal (where all the busses to the resorts go from), or if there's a bunch of people going to a close resort, you get dropped to the door. Awesome.
