The entire property has floor heating and was so clean, comfortable and cozy. I am really thankful to them for all the efforts they have made to make our trip a memorable one.

As for objective #1, Komatsuya helped exceed our expectations: David (the owner) kindly drove us around wherever we needed to go, Izumi-san cooked wonderful Japanese food for breakfast and dinner, and Yukiko-san introduced us to the local attractions and helped us with the schedule and reservations. The room was clean and spacious and the onsen was an outstanding way to wrap up our skiing days. But beyond all this, we felt like we gained a new family in Japan. We will remember our stay at Komatsuya very fondly because of David and his team and, should we come back to ski in Japan again, I can't imagine staying anyplace else.
