Amazing Hotel, even though it is a very traditional and old place, the rooms are very modern and renovated with all the amenities one can think of. Onsen is good too, but very hot. The beach is literally just across the road! The rooms all have an ocean view. Staff is extremely friendly and breakfast is also great. Just watch out to book dinner if possible, as there are not many options to eat around town if you don’t want to take the car.

The tatami room was lovely and the bed very comfortable for a futon type. There are a number of different style rooms. We especially booked a room with a private outdoor shower and bath. The food was superb in every respect. There were a number of beers available and, surely, there is a taste to appeal to everyone. The staff were caring and took time to understand the hotel guests. The communal bath was nice and the outdoor areas in general were pleasant. The test of a hotel is to positively answer the question, 'would you stay here again?' Our answer is that we returned after visiting here a year ago, except this time we doubled the length of our stay.

The owners/staff are extremely kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They allowed me to check in early and even let me use the onsen in the afternoon after checkout.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Gli interni dell’hotel (ricoperti principalmente da tatami), a partire dalla camera, i bagni pubblici e il giardino interno, sono stupendi. Presso l'Hayamakan potrete gustare pasti tradizionali a più portate e rilassarvi nelle vasche termali coperte e all'aperto. Staff is sooo friendly and helpful with everything. There is shuttles to the station every 20minutes and the rooms are so spacious and clean and with attention to detail - we loved it. The outside Onsen is beautiful and tattoo friendly.

Situato a Tsuruoka, a 24 km da Kamo Aquarium, Tamonkan prevede un giardino, un parcheggio privato gratuito e una terrazza. It was a deeply satisfying stay at Tamonkan. The beautifully timbered ryokan is hundreds of years old and has been in the host Toki’s family for 11 generations. Generously sized rooms in traditional style, all spotlessly clean, the timber floors so polished you can almost see your reflection. Toki is a genial and charming host with readily offered information useful to our stay. His wife Uki is the chef. Much has been written about the quality of the meals already, but that doesn’t quite prepare you for the creativity and care poured into every one of her dishes. Even after many visits to ryokan cuisine over the years, Uki’s dishes stand as some of the best of them all. She modestly explains each dish for you, and the offerings were different each night. No overstatement to say she is a master of her craft. Overall a wonderfully warm, welcoming and delicious stay at Tamonkan.

Situato a 10 minuti a piedi dall'impianto di risalita della funivia Zao Sky, il Miyamaso Takamiya offre 9 bagni termali naturali. Friendly staff, excellent meals, traditional ryokan with full of histories!!!

Ubicato a Yamagata, Guesthouse Mintaro Hut si trova a 18 km da Comprensorio Sciistico di Zaō Onsen. Questo affittacamere a 1 stella offre camere climatizzate con bagno in comune e WiFi gratuito. Abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte ma è stata una piacevole serata: gli host super accoglienti e abbiamo trascorso la serata in loro compagnia e con gli altri ospiti a condividere la cena e a chiaccherare. Offrono anche alcune bevande e cibi per la colazione (caffè, tè, pane e marmellata...). La stanza è piccola ma sufficiente per dormirci. Molto economico.
