There are not enough words to describe how this place is wonderful. Starting from serene location, great ambience to unbelievable staff. Food is great also, guys are super flexible and they will do their best to prepare something even if it’s not on the menu. Free tuk tuk rides to the beach are also amazing. Special thanks to Kavindu and Neel for being amazing. P.S they have a newly opened restaurant White Tree so definitely check it out! I am definitely coming back next vacation.

Ahu Bay se nachází v destinaci Ahungalla a poskytuje ubytování s venkovním bazénem, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, zahradou a soukromou pláží. Pláž Ahungalla Beach je 1 km daleko. We had an absolutely amazing stay in Ahu Bay. We decided to end up our honeymoon spontaneously at the beach, so we were looking for a nice place in the surrounding of the airport, which is at the beachside and not a big hotel. And so Ahu Bay was definitely the right choice. It is a wonderful, modern and small hotel with delicious food and an almost private beach (at least in off season). The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Our room was big and we had the best rain shower we have ever had. And on top of that we had the perfect view over the ocean. Ahu Bay wants to save turtles. So there were baby turtles hatching out exactly when we were staying there. And in the evening hours they enabled us to let one of those one day old baby turtles go into the big ocean. That was an incredible feeling and you could see that also every single Ahu Bay employee was happy to watch that and maybe our baby turtle is the one out of thousand baby turtles that in 25 years will come back to this beach and will but their eggs on this beach.

I stayed there for my first 2 nights and it was the best choice. Hotel just after the renovation, big and clean rooms. The hospitality of the owners is amazing. 5 min walk distance to the beach (no people only palm trees - like in paradise). You have to try food because it's a very good one. Good vibe of the place.

Great place right on the beach with its own restaurant. We also visited 2 great gardens properties nearby.

We loved everything about this hotel. Firstly, it looks beautiful, as if it is meant to be there nestled between the sea and the river, blending into the greenery, with pleasant design touches everywhere. The pools are great for kids and the rooms were very comfortable. All the staff were very nice, accommodating and very helpful. The food was much better than we expected although we mostly ate our evening meals outside the hotel. It was a perfect family hotel.

Very nice stay! We had a very warm welcome. Everything was great, nice surprise for our honeymoon, decoration in the room was amazing. The dinner excellent, very fresh and tasty food. Nelson was very helpful, he arranged transportation for us. The staff really kind and polite.

We were welcomed with popsicles when we arrived. Our room was massive, clean and had all the updated appliances. There was a private patio with a sun bed as well. The staff were incredible welcoming, friendly and helpful. They made the bed everyday, sometimes even twice a day, and they had all the mosquito repellents in the room and even replaced the mosquito lamps, incense and more (although we had no issues in the room probably because of that!). Breakfast selection was amazing and delicious. It was also really fun to watch the train go by in the morning during breakfast. Pool was clean and was really nice to dip in to escape the heat. Super convenient location, just walk across the railway tracks and you’re at the beach. There’s 24 hour security to open the gates for you no matter what time you come back. We started our trip here and it has been so hard to live up to those expectations. It is probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in.
