Beautiful site with views of Xunantunich Mayan site from the farm. You can walk to the site along the Mopan river too. Dominic was very welcoming and informative, pointing out birdlife and telling us about the history of the areas. It's a working farm, so be prepared for the sounds of a farm!

"The Dog Momma" as she is known because of her group that helps lady street doggies also REALLY helped me out during my stay halfway up the hill in San Ignacio. She personally took me to three places to try to get cash out or cash back because I was having difficulty with the pin on my VISA cards! This was service above and beyond!

Absolutely loved our stay - this is a slice of paradise! Larry and Melanie were some of the best hosts we’ve ever had, they’re proud of the Belizean culture and history and we learnt so much from Larry while eating Melanie’s amazing meals. We basically stayed on site for the 3 nights we were there. We booked our tours through Larry and had the best tour guides Francis and Dan! Both so knowledgeable and caring. Definitely make sure eat at least once at this place, it was great! The place: We stayed in the biggest one bedroom unit. Beds are great quality, super comfortable and sturdy. The bathroom was really big which had a beautiful shower with a wee jungle view. While the pressure is a little low, it had a big enough shower head that we didn’t mind at all. Hot water everyday! The bath was amazing after a long day of walking. A big balcony with a hammock that overlooks the pool was a delight especially when it was raining. Beautiful walk down to the river where we saw toucans flying around. Saw a howler monkey for dinner and a gibnut lounging at the back of the property. Such a great place to stay. Rooms were spacious, AC was fantastic. There was ample fruit and toast for breakfast. The women who work there are so lovely and great to have a chat with.

It took me nearly a month to come back to write this review. Simply because the experience is so exceptionally good that I don't know where to start. It was a dream experience that we keep talking about even weeks after leaving the place. "I want to go back to Pine Ridge Lodge" is a recurring sentence we say to each other. We even day-dreamed about moving to Belize and joining Neil. I could write thousands of words about Pine Ridge Lodge but that would exceed the limitation of the review length. All aspects were beyond perfect so I won't repeat all the check-box questions and answers that were already provided by Booking. I clicked on the faces with the biggest smile for all the questions and still feel that the smile is not large enough to reflect how our stay was. Neil and José's hospitality and genuine vibe was out of this world. We absolutely loved the daily routine of starting the day with a delicious breakfast tailor-made for us, accompanied by the sound of birds, the sounds of wind blowing on pine leaves, the golden sunbeam shining on our food, having a day out and coming back in the evening welcomed with a delicious home-made dinner at 19:00 that provides a lot of comfort and peace, spending the rest of the evening having very interesting conversations with Neil, being introduced to his beloved chicken and hearing his fascinating stories, walking back to our room in the dark watching so many stars in the dark sky that you would otherwise not have the chance to see anywhere close to cities, and falling asleep with the constant soothing sound of the waterfall right next to our room. I still drool every time I think of the beef cooked by Neil in his high pressure cooker. Maggie, one of the two super cute dogs liked to greet us and follow us around that added extra joy. We also very much appreciated not having wifi except in the dining area.

Location easy to find. easy check in. staff very helpful. overall great place. if we come back we will book again we will recommend to friends

Quietness and cleanliness of the room. Also the location very accesible to take a taxi.

Location was really good, just few minutes walk from the bus station, shops and restaurants around. It was easy to find a hostel. It was clean and bed was comfortable.

The house was a perfect size for our group of 6. It was very clean, comfortable & had everything that we needed. It had a nice view & took approx 10-15 min to walk into town. Communication with the host was excellent! We would definitely stay there again!
