Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Al Ḩumaymah al Jadīdah

When you imagine that you travel to a friends who lives at the village in Europe, what would you expect? Probably village life, which is different than the one in the city. What would you expect when you travel to desert? Probably much less confortable place than you can find here at MalakoRum. Very confortable rooms, european type of toilet, hot shower (we vere there just at the end of calendar year - so in winter time). Wow and such delicious dinner freshly cooked by the hosts. The stay for us was like visiting friends who moved to desert to farm there. So we expected animals around, and we loved it. When you see beduins next the desert streets they have also animals around. So the experience from the desert life was way more much authentic then the games played to tourist elsevere. We expected and loved that touch of authenticity. Jo was very kind all the time to explain all the things we were curious about - desert life,geology, history etc. and she turn to be very rich well of knowledge. She offered us a hiking tour in the mountains around and it was unexpectedly experience with a little climbing at the top of near hill top with wonderful view. Jafar may seem to be harsh and bitter, as the desert fruit are, on the first glance. But when you let to know him a little bit more you will find the cool and broad hearted man you can love. We had four-wheeler car so we wanted to travel more in desert, but without any experience of desert ride. Jo and Jafar helped us to plan our little desert trip, just for the time we had. That trip was also wonderful experience which we would have not undergo without the help of our "desert" friends. Thank you for encouraging and helping.

The host and the services. The rooms are very clean and maintained very well. The staff are very friendly and provide everything you request reasonably. At a remote location, the services and safety was exceptional. We stayed in the bubble room and the experience was very good.

The stay was wonderful, everything was beautiful and positive. It was an experience worth the effort. The food was delicious and beautiful, the activities were enjoyable, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the respect at the reception was amazing. I recommend this location.

Hasan was a lovely host. Dinner was excellent. But good to know what things will cost in addition to the room. 40jod for dinner and breakfast (for 2), 4wd tour was 70. We liked there was no phone reception or wifi.

Very good location, within walking distance from the visitor center. But the owner will meet you. This is the best camp with all the facilities and amazing food

The property is gorgeous with a very nice view. You are surrounded only by the desert and you don’t see other properties around. The team is nice and help you tailor the experience according to your needs. Also the food is great!

I had a great time on this trip. The camp is great and the general facilities are very clean. All the needs are available, such as internet, air conditioning, etc. inside the camp. The food is very delicious and has many varieties for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. There is also popular food that can be eaten inside or outside the camp. Abdullah is a very nice person who provides services with great pleasure and is also cooperative. The level of security is excellent. I thank them for this unique trip.

Mahmud, our guide during the night tour was really nice, helpful and a great guide. The location and the view from the tents is breathtaking.

We had an unforgettable stay at the camp. The staff was incredibly friendly, the camp site is perfect (far from other camps), the food is very tasty, the tents are clean and the facilities are excellent. I definitely recommend this place! The camp offers a wide range of jeep tours, hiking or camel tours and sunrise/sunset rides at reasonable prices!! Lots of options to make you feel Bedouin energy and history!!
