The Shakshuka breakfast was delicious, also the pasta dinner ~ as good as in Italy. Bed so comfortable, setting very peaceful. Pool was perfect for cooling down in the middle of the day and I loved watching monkeys swing through the trees while reading on a pool lounger. The owner arranged a jeep safari for me at local Eco Park ~ it was awesome to see elephants up so close!

We had a brilliant stay in Lion Gate Hotel! Everyone working there was so kind, friendly and helpful. We had the traditional breakfast in the morning which we really enjoyed. The hotel is a very short tuktuk ride from everything you could want to see and do. We also enjoyed spending time at the pool which was very well maintained.

We had the best stay ever. Lovely place run by amazing people. The room are huge and clean, there’s AC, fan, hot water, kettle, big and comfy beds , everything you need. Fantastic stay. Karu picked me up from the airport in a taxi and as with the rest of my stay was so polite, efficient and friendly. He suggested a daily itinerary including Polonnuwara, Dambulla caves and Sigiriya rock and Pidurangala, taking me in his tuktuk. He used to work as a tour guide so is very knowledgeable and knows everyone ! The room was comfortable, air con noisy but I used the fan instead. Great treat to have the pool to cool off in. The food, home cooked by Anusha, was incredible, and all at such good value. Loved it here. Thank you.

Everything was perfect. Surangi and his family were of great help and great care for us. Whether you want to do activities or just need a tuktuk, they were able to be very responsive and very professional. I recommend 1000%. Our visit to Sigiriya was WONDERFUL and mainly, that was thanks to the family who runs Panoramic Rock View Villa. This was the homestay where we have felt the most welcomed, Malindu, Sanju and their parents made us feel like home. Besides their amazing hospitality, we loved the place: quiet, peaceful, close to many restaurants and with amazing views to Lion’s rock. The front garden was very nice and we had a little porch in front of the room where we had some local and tasty breakfasts. Wide room and confortable beds. The owners’ son took us on a Safari and helped us spot many elephants (even being a rainy day). They also have a tuk tuk so we relied on them any time we wanted to move around: Dambulla caves or Pidurangala rock. In conclusion, we left the place wishing we could stay a lot longer. No doubts if we ever come back to Sri Lanka, Panoramic Rock View Villa will be a MUST. Thank you for making our trip better🙏
