The breakfast was exceptional. Continental style with a remarkably varied choice of bread/sweetbreads, boiled egg, yogurt, cheese, etc. The hotel has a very good cafe/restaurant on the ground floor where we enjoyed a late dinner and lunch the next day. Our family had two rooms which were both spacious, very comfortable, and looked recently renovated.

Great, individually furnished room in a fantastic location. Our room was on the ground floor. However, since it faced the quiet side of the street, it was a wonderful overnight stay right in the center of town.

After receiving a phone call to confirm my arrival time, I found the welcome was heartwarming and they were very concerned that I registered for the pay parking in the street as it is all now online and a vehicle randomly traverses the streets scanning numberplates. The building is fascinating, having been formed inside the existing walls but without altering them. The lift to the 2nd floor was tiny and manually operated and so convenient! The main street is moments away, filled with cafes, bars and restaurants as well as all form of shops and a canal and harbour. Truly photogenic and relaxing.

We stayed three nights at De Vos. It was in a nice and quiet holiday park. The house had everything that we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Our dog enjoyed the big lawn, and there were nice walking routes in the vicinity. We did day trips to Harlingen, Terschelling and Franeker, all destinations I can really recommend!
