I have only good words to say about this place. The bean soup with chapati I had for dinner was the best I've had in Tanzania. Super clean room and very comfortable bed. Strong and reliable wifi. But the best thing is the care I was treated with that made me feel special. The next day I had to catch a flight from Arusha airport, and I asked if they could arrange the transfer. They said they could for 20 dollars, and considering it was only about 2kms away, I said it was an unreasonable price, even by western standards. They said they couldn't do it for less because the driver wouldn't accept less. The next morning, the owner, Ricky, told me she would have driven me herself for half the price. On the way, she got a call from the guesthouse where they found my hat I had forgotten in the room. They sent someone who brought it to me while we were on our way. Just to tell how much they care. Thanks Ricky.

Loved loved loved our stay at Mambo. Highly recommend it if you want an affordable stay while in Arusha. It's a little out of central Arusha but there are plenty of activities on offer through the hostel. Definitely do the coffee plantation tour if you can. The breakfast and dinner meals here were the best local food we had in Tanzania. So delicious!

I had an amazing time during my stay with Innocent and his helper Batistar. They were both incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make me feel at home. Breakfast was perfectly arranged every morning. The place is a kind of guesthouse where other bikepackers stay as well, offering a unique opportunity to meet new people and share stories. Innocent even took me on a tour around Arusha, giving me a chance to experience the city from a local perspective.

Isaac and Irene are two wonderful and bright host. They know everything about Arusha regions and beyond. Ask them anything and they'll always try their best to facilitate your projects. Irene is a vibrant and smiling lady, a talented chef and artist. Isaac run the business and other farm, music and ngo projects like a boss. A truely inspiring selfmade man. You can have honnest talks and build strong relationship with them as they'll always be kin to share meals, party and good laughs. The house is licated in a quiet street in Arusha town a few minutes by tuktuk from the city center, masaaï market and commodities. The beds are very confy and beautifully decorated, you'll feel like at home. Hot shower, clean bathroom and functionnal power outlets. Ideal for solo travellers or couple, even for family. In the future Isaac — who also has a bachelor in wildlife & tourism and knows a lot about animals — will be able to propose a full experience including safari trips at a very low price for amazing service compared to lost of compagnies. He's also working on building an NGO to help a close by but remote village and will propose opportunity for volonteers. You can really trust them as they'll always teach you on the real prices in Tanzania, how to bargain and will help you book your next bus or everything you can think of. I felt part of your family and friends, and I'll come again one day for sure !

I truly enjoyed my stay here! The staff were warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. I was especially impressed by the quality of the food – it was fresh, tasty, and beautifully served. The security was also very reliable, which gave me great peace of mind during my stay. The entire atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I highly recommend this place and would definitely love to come back again. Thank you for the wonderful experience

    Agnes, the owner, was so welcoming and kind to us. She made us feel comfortable and at home during our whole stay. She is also an amazing cook and provides exceptional breakfasts and dinners. The place is very clean and cosy and the rooms very comfortable. We also loved the two pet dogs that live on the property :)

    Chilled location with a lovely family and 2 super cute dogs. I really appreciated my stay as the place felt more familiar and you will always get help if you need something. Breakfast was super, I also had dinner and it was really delicious… I only can recommend this place…

    The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and the bed comfy. The location was great as it's very close to the Maasai market and the city center. After dark the area felt a bit scary but the hotel itself felt pretty safe as there was a guard and some guard dogs.

    Agnes is a warm and welcoming host, nice location with a lot of shops near by. Very nice common area with day beds and sofas and a beautiful green garden. Nice decorated place with big spacious rooms. The breakfast was very filling. The dog Winta is a big bonus :)
