(Summer holiday). Great place in the mountains for hiking and resting near the lakes. Very friendly staff, so helpful and supportive. Amazing cuisine - we did enjoy the food there (all three meals). Views are stunning. The village is quite small, doesn't have a lot of events. Comfy beds, clean shared bathrooms, clean towels. Places to sit and spend time near hotel.

On the sunny plateau of Melchsee-Frutt in the Swiss Alps, 1,920 meters above sea level, this hotel features a spa and an open-air lounge with mountain views. Stöckalp SMF Ski Lift is 150 metres away. Skvělý resort, není co vytknout. Luxusní snídaně, ale i nabídka v restauracích, spa, pokoje, výhled, personál, vše a všichni bylo skvělé. K ubytování vede v létě jen jedna cesta, kdy v sudé hodiny můžete nahoru a liché dolu. To trochu výlety omezuje, ale my jsme s tím problém rozhodně neměli. Jen dny byly krátké :-D V okolí trasy na tůry, k jezerům. Možno zakoupit i místní sýry a jiné výrobky.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hospitality demonstrated by the team made me feel at home from the very beginning. The hotel facilities were exceptional, with the highlight being the pool, which proved to be a haven of relaxation. Spending time there was a truly rejuvenating experience after a day filled with activities in Engelberg. The cleanliness and maintenance of the pool were impeccable, greatly contributing to my enjoyment. I cannot praise enough the delicious breakfast served each morning. The variety and quality of the food surpassed my expectations. From healthy options to indulgent delights, the breakfast was a feast that provided the perfect energy to start the day exploring Engelberg. In summary, my stay at this hotel was great in every aspect. The combination of exceptionally friendly staff, high-quality facilities, and a delicious breakfast created an unforgettable experience. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Engelberg

Historický Jugendstilhotel Paxmontana, postavený v roce 1896 v secesním stylu, stojí na kopci v krásné lokalitě v kantonu Obwalden a získal mnoho ocenění. breakfast was generous and full of options. eggs were only available after 9am due to internal meetings before..I thought that was rather unusual.
