One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had; beautiful facilities, modern luxuries, nice staff and the most comfortable bed and shower. I’m obsessed with the decor too, every detail is attended to perfectly.

Here’s to hoping that the hotel, with it’s increasing fame, doesn’t follow the same path as other luxury Caribbean resorts, becoming sickeningly expensive and unobtainable

This hotel was absolutely beautiful, the staff were very attentive, the hotel was always kept clean and pristine, the room was so spacious with lots of amenities. It felt like a luxurious stay and would stay here again.

The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast is home made...I loved it. Outside the main touristic area but just few minutes away so no a real issue. We went with our dog and was welcomed.

Everything was perfect. Staff was incredible kind, they upgraded my room and served my breakfast with my fruit of choice. The location couldn´t be better as it is far from the noise and boats of Playa Blanca. I suggest to ask for rooms at the second floor. The sunset view from the terrace was amazing. I would definitely com back.

We also appreciated the authenticity of the neighborhood, which gave us a real sense of local life. It was vibrant, safe, and full of character. The nearby food options were fantastic—we enjoyed everything from fresh local seafood to delicious street food, and every meal was an adventure in itself. If you’re looking for a stay where you’ll feel like part of the community while being surrounded by great food and wonderful people, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Well situated in the Manga district of Cartagena de Indias, Abel Boutique House is situated 1.2 km from San Felipe de Barajas Castle, 2.3 km from Cartagena's Walls and 3.4 km from Palace of the Inquisition. It is set 2.8 km from Bocagrande Beach and features a shared kitchen. The homestay offers a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. When we visited, Abel was brand new, and no one had actually slept in the room we got before us. With that, it was super fresh and all nice and clean. The bed was really comfy and pillows as well. Also, many places along the Caribbean shore don't have warm showers, but here, they did. Where we stayed, in the garden house on the north side of the street (Abel has two houses, one of each side of the street), it was an outdoor patio as well. Perfect for exercise! What we also liked was that they gave us breakfast (fresh fruit, coffee and cereal) in the morning, and they also had a laundry service we used before continuing on our carribean tour. Well needed :) Abel is located on Manga, which is a location we really like. It is a short walk to the bridge, taking you to the (old) city center, but way calmer than inside the main city. Around the corner is a nice marina and a good outdoor sportcenter, which we like to use.
