Located in a quiet cul-de-sac with off road parking, it was peaceful yet close to the town centre. The facilities were excellent and the room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom was very well thought out. The mini fridge, microwave and kettle were all present and there was even a washing machine and dryer if you needed it. The host was lovely and very accommodating.

The place was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The bed was clean and super comfy. The host was incredibly hospitable and thoughtful — they went above and beyond by surprising my wife with flowers, a birthday card, fresh garden eggs, and homemade jam, which was absolutely delicious. We also loved having all the essentials provided for a BBQ and bonfire. The vibe of the place was peaceful and calming, surrounded by nature with horses, sheep, and rabbits nearby. Honestly, there was nothing to dislike — it was a perfect getaway.

The Potting Shed was exactly what I was after, a quirky little place, tucked away on the grounds of Godmanchester’s ‘Island House’, it was well situated for my purpose, close to main transport routes and extremely quiet with it which was superb. It has a ‘lived-in’ feel with relaxing decor and a comfortable ambiance and if you’ve forgotten anything, have a search about in the drawers as you will guarantee to find what you are looking for……. The instructions for check-in / out were problem free and the only time I had any contact with the owners was during a brief conversation with Christopher who was a very nice chap indeed.
