Very comfortable room with excellent ensuite shower room. Serena and all the staff were friendly and welcoming and provided us with excellent service in the bar/restaurant during our stay. Breakfast and Dinner were delicious with plenty of Gluten Free options for my wife. The Hotel is also dog friendly and our pet Flora enjoyed the walks over the adjacent South Downs and could also join us for breakfast/dinner in the comfortable bar and also when we stopped for Tea/Coffee in The Hotels Tea Room. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 Night Stay in this well appointed well run historic property.

We had a great stay - we’ve stayed before and are so happy to have found this cosy little bolthole! New armchairs since our last visit, very comfortable. It’s a very well equipped house and perfect for a relaxing getaway - love having west wittering beach such a short drive away, Bracklesham bay a short walk, and found the new desk setup helpful too for when I did have to slip in a bit of work.

It is full of character and beautifully decorated to a high spec. It was perfect for our short stay and I’d definitely come back for longer next time when possible. Petworth is also a lovely place with a selection of interesting independent shops and cafes, as well as being a great base for walks in the area.

The property was beautifully furnished. It was cosy, warm and comfortable. I booked it for the weekend of my wedding at nearby Southend Barns, and it was the perfect place for me, my Mum and bridesmaids to start getting ready in the morning. Simon was a wonderful host and made us feel so welcome. He even put a couple of bottles of bubbly in the fridge to help us to celebrate. There was also a very generous welcome basket of food too. The beds were enormous and the whole place was spotless. We will definitely stay again.
