Lunch and dinner feature star ingredients in classics, interpretations, sharing dishes, and divine desserts. And kids have their own Pearly Calves menu. Afternoon tea is afternoon sea – a very fresh take on this timeless treat. And on Sundays, traditional roasts bring a beautiful close to the week The vinyl record player in the room was a true gem. The reception area had a huge display of great records which added such a special touch. Also the dollhouse which covered coffee, tea and mugs was really nice. Staff and location just superb to explore this cute town without a car.

In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Lister Arms is a quintessential English pub and AA 4-star 18th-century inn, offering home-cooked food and cosy accommodation. Free WiFi and parking on site is available for guests. We stayed in the converted barn part of the inn that is around the corner from the pub. It was really nice, high end, and recently renovated. There was a common room to hang out in too. We had great weather and were able to hang out in the garden but I think it would be really nice in the winter too since there is a fireplace. The pub had excellent food and the staff was great. We loved it and hope to go back.

You won't find a better hotel at this price point. The area is lovely and the view from the terrace is the best in town. The owner is absolutely determined to make this work and puts in a huge effort. My daughter left her toy here and he posted it back to us, which was extremely kind. In future, I would go for one of the king rooms as the double rooms are standard doubles.
