If you are coming here for snorkeling, Pangalisan beach and the area in front of Bunaken cafe n resto is the best and easiest shore-entry snorkel I have found. It's a 15 minute walk. The area directly in front of the homestay is not well-suited for snorkeling due to boat traffic and currents. It's so good that I'm coming back again.

Alvin has built this off-the-grid retreat himself, adding to it each year. He and his staff are caring and helpful. The well laid out grounds are covered in lawns and most if not all tents and cabins have small brick firepits. Alvin can provide the firewood for them. When I was there a number of people sat around these campfires at night singing and playing guitars. No sound amplification is allowed. Some people chose to stay on the grounds for several days. I used it as a jumping off place each morning to tour different parts of the Tomohon area each day., returning each evening.

The boat crew were friendly and generous with the time allowed for snorkelling trips. The nature walks were informative. The bungalows were well fitted out and comfortable. The location is serene.

Is the best stay I had in all my travels! - Owners can speak very good English and they are so helpfull - Food is amazing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very good all days - the room was clean and with airco - they help you with boattransfer and transport - The owner took me with him to see dolphins. We saw like 100 dolphins. After that we stopped for two snorklingspots, wich were so beautiful - Homestay is at the beach, when you walk 200m in the water, you van snorkle very good (so many turtles and nice coral) - just an amazing place
