Super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed breakfast, my wife skipped hers, so the host packed it as a bento box for our lunch. Vegetables from the garden. A guided visit to the forest to see fireflies. Tastes of local food and drink. It was if we were lodging with my favourite aunt and uncle.

We booked a room with its own outside onsen tub, which was excellent. As we had our own private onsen, we did not use the common bathing facilities. As there are no restaurants anywhere near the hotel, we ate both breakfast and dinner at the hotel each day. They prepared different meals for us each time, and the meal presentation and taste were outstanding. The staff were also excellent, and attended to our every request. Several staff members were able to speak English as we can't speak any Japanese. The location is a bit out of town along a winding forest road. It would be impossible to get to the hotel without a car and google maps. With the meals our stay was somewhat expensive but we would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

It was a wonderful experience way above my expectations, room was clean, spacious and comfortable (i wish i have home like this :D). View from the room was amazing, straight on Yufu mountain relaxing and breathtaking especially when taking morning bath in open air private onsen in the room (there were 3 onsens in room). Dinner and breakfast were very exquisite, it was real ryokan experience for me in a very luxurious environment . Staff was very kind and helpful, it makes you feel like you don't want to leave.

Very novel experience overall. Container was retrofitted with very modern facilities, with enough space for two to stay comfortably. Amenities were also provided, including cutlery, crockery, and equipment to make drip coffee. Best part of the stay was the outdoor area with bbq pit and sauna. The staff were very kind in helping us to start the fire ahead of time so that we could start barbecuing once we got back with the ingredients.
