They didn’t speak English (we’re from the USA), but made sure to translate everything until we understood. Very easy and friendly! The beds were incredibly cozy. Everything was as expected and noted on the listing. It was great to have a driver to and from the monkeys. The staff helped us with late check out when one of our people got sick. There is a karaoke room in the basement that was very fun on our last night, and we wish we found out about it sooner! We loved the traditional Ryokan experience! We’re very happy with our stay!

It’s a ski in ski out hotel with professional and helpful staffs. The location is remote hence is quiet. Service provided was great. There’s also live piano every evening.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. It is a quiet place in a beautiful area. The onsen was quite a highlight for me. Very nice owner, we were very kindly offered a lift to the monkey park. Top notch hospitality for sure! We would gladly come back again.

We were incredibly well looked after by Yoko, who took care of us and provided an exceptional service. Very hospitable. Also, other staff including our day driver Toko were all wonderful and took care of us and made our stay extra special.
