Extra facilities include a 24-hour front desk, meeting rooms, a tour desk and housekeeping service. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were very comfortable and cleaned daily to a high standard. Hot water is available on demand or after 6pm. The location is the best thing about the camp, it is right next door to the entrance to the national park so you can get in right when it opens. The camp itself is also frequently visited by animals. We saw crocodiles, hippos, baboons, various species of deer and mongoose to name a few. The owner is friendly and responsive to your needs and even arranged transport to our next accommodation. As a bonus each meal was very delicious and they are flexible with what time you would like to eat. Overall, Talek Bush camp may be lacking some of the frills of the larger lodges but the underlying quality is very high. We felt more comfortable here than at our MUCH more expensive lodge in Amboseli.

The view was breathtaking, and the tent was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up. Special thanks to Chef Allan for the delicious meals, and to Lucia and Steve who were always so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Our game drives were unforgettable with Ken, an excellent driver who made sure we saw the Big 5! In Nairobi, John was also a great driver who took care of us very well. One of the highlights of our trip was the nature walk with Dickson – he was such a knowledgeable and engaging guide, making it an incredible experience. A huge thank you to NJ, a very patient owner who always responded to all my queries, and to Nick, who went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort, even checking in with us on our way home. Everything was so wonderful that we ended up extending our stay. We highly recommend Mara Hilltop Camp to anyone visiting the Masai Mara – you will not be disappointed!

The luxury tent has a flat-screen TV. Towels and bed linen are offered in the luxury tent. The property has an outdoor dining area. Super location with tents spaced out between private winding paths on a hill with a view. Dining area with fireplace and washroom. Tents with washroom also. Great dinner was an added bonus. This was super for a group of work colleagues visiting the park.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Amazing staff, made us feel welcome from the first moment on. Great communication up front. They organized cultural activities at the property, also we had a movie night at the communal area. The staff and the management does everything to make your stay great. Every aspect of the stay felt very personalized. The cooking skills of the chef are amazing, the vegetarian food was delicious, though it’s worth doing the all inclusive option, since it’s cheaper than paying per meal. Would come back and recommend drunken elephant to anyone visiting Masai Mara.
