We did the temple hike and although it was overcast, rainy & misty so we didn’t have a great view from the top, it was lovely to just be in the jungle. We loved that the eco village employs local people, it is an eco-friendly and ethical place to stay, highly recommend

The meals were so tastefully prepared, and the experiences gathered from going around the village will definitely make us revisit the Loft again and again!

Boasting accommodation with a pool with a view, pool view and a balcony, Wooden Eco Cottage is situated in Katiyawa. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Amazing place in amazing location with amazing owners! I loved it from the very beginning. I usually travel with public transportation and Nadie helped me to get to their place from the main nearby town and later gave me a ride back. She also was very helpful with organizing for me a transport to main sights in the area - Arankele Forest Monastery and Ridi Viharaya (I had a scooter but it was also possible to go with a tuk tuk driver). Breakfast and dinner were made at home and they were delicious and the portions were big enough. I also had some fresh fruit juices and fruits, it was amazing! There is also a nice swimming pool with trees and bushes around. It’s so beautiful 😍 Important to note that there is almost no internet connection there, I don’t find it as a disadvantage but if you want to work online from there, that might be impossible. However, if you want to relax, go offline and enjoy the nature as me - that’s the best place to go! Thank you Nadie for taking such a great care of me! I will definitely be back! 🥰
