We had an apartment room with 2 balconies (double aspect views) on the top floor of the new block in the main building (where there is also the reception and shop). There was a building in front of us, but nevertheless, the views from our room were amazing. The room set-up (with small kitchen unit, seating area, dining area, bed area, 2 balconies, large windows and separate bathroom) was excellent. It was a nice quiet room with a comfortable bed. The receptionist was very friendly and helped us with the door code. Parking was easy, next to the apartments.

The hotel was located right in the middle of Bergen, perfect and central to everything. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, opulent surroundings and nothing like this in New Zealand. It was historical and we loved it. The staff at reception were so helpful and friendly, they even helped take bags up to our room. Which as a very nice room - one of the few with a view over the harbour. We love the half day cruise up the fjord - well worth it.

The classically decorated guest rooms have private bathrooms and free WiFi. Some rooms are located in an annex and some feature canopy beds and private balconies with fjord views. Great location, very clean. Very nice hotel, charming. We took the dinner and it was really good.

ROOM,WAS ALL OK ,YOU HAVE A STEEP SET OF STAIRS TO CLIMB TO GET TO THE FIRST FLOOR WHICH COULD BE A PROBLEM TO SOME PEOPLE?

The rooms were very nice, the restaurant was excellent, and it was clean and well maintained. It’s definitely worth paying a little bit more for it!

Host was friendly and informative. Full access to a well maintained and clean kitchen for cooking. A few minutes walk to the main bus station and a few more minutes to the grocery store. House is shared with others but was very quiet.

It is set 4.1 km from Bergen University and features a minimarket. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Haakon's Hall is 1.4 km away. When entering the house, I've instantly fell in love with the nice timber smell of the house. Smells like a sauna in there. Very cozy. Very cute.

I booked only one night and everyone wished to stay more. Having a reception nearby is also helpful.
