The balcony was great to hang out. Super comfortable bed and amenities. The outdoor possibilities for children - animal farm, games, garden, playroom - made it super easy to have our baby. Plus the food was great and the service too.

Upon arrival we had high hopes for the week long stay we booked for our family. The cottages themselves are lovely. But the rest of our stay was a disaster.

Ines—one of the owners— is warm and welcoming. Our room was splendid—comfortable, lovely, overlooking the beautiful pool. Breakfast was perfect—obrigado Patricia! We liked this beautiful Solar ( a former school where Ines was a schoolgirl—how cool!) so much that we stayed one more night! My friend left for work in Lisboa and I stayed for a third night! One night turned into three because it is so delightful! I have cycled 94,000+km around the world and have stayed at well over 1000+ hotels around the world on every continent except Antarctica—Solar Dos Frades is one of the best! Obrigado Ines!
