Originally, we came to this area for one night to relax from the hustle and bustle of Saigon, but we enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying for two nights. The place is truly magical, and you will hardly see any tourists here—only kind, smiling local people and plenty of fruit, especially coconuts. Thuan is a very friendly and caring person. He speaks perfect English, which really helped us to get at least a glimpse of the local culture and way of life, especially during a private trip on the Mekong River, which I highly recommend. The next day, we went on a bike ride and visited a local coconut processing workshop (nothing goes to waste here). One of the most unforgettable moments was when we visited local school children—it was an incredible experience that touched our hearts. Whenever we were hungry, his sister Thuy cooked us excellent Pho or fried spring rolls at her restaurant. We are glad we chose this place and we hope to return here in the future. They helped us book transport and local tours, which made everything so much easier. I even forgot my laptop charger, and they kindly sent it all the way to Ho Chi Minh City for me without asking for anything in return—an incredible gesture we deeply appreciated. The food was good and fresh, especially the breakfast and meals prepared on-site. We truly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. The garden is full of plants and there are even two funny chickens and a few cats living there. Every day, delicious and special food awaited us, freshly prepaired by the owner. We were able to get to know different parts of the family and learn how banana-candy is made, ride a canoe down the river with a delicious coconut and simply stroll through the village on bikes that they lent us for free.
