Self catering. Delighted with the welcome package. Location ideal. The beach was just across the road , so couldn’t get much closer !! Local Pub/ restaurant just up the road. Shops a 5 minute drive. Lovely walks and nature parks , even saw some red squirrels!!

Its a lovely quirky hotel set in the heart of the town with easy access to local amenities, restaurants and main roads to nearby towns. The family rooms (203 and 204) were clean, comfortable, and well maintained - a good honest value for money 2 night break. The staff were polite and exceptionally friendly, and we were reminded that if we needed anything at all, just to call in at the reception. Nothing is too much effort, and Alex was a wonderful hostess. The breakfasts are hearty and well worth adding on if you're staying. Stay for lunch, have a drink at the bar, mingle with the locals and take your time to soak up the history of this fine old school hotel! We will be back!

The property had everything we needed for a self contained stay in a lovely, quiet rural location. The property was very clean and well presented. The fully enclosed garden was perfect for our dog to explore safely. Lynn, the owner, came to see us and was really friendly and welcoming. We would 100% recommend to others.

It’s in a stunning location, and it’s lovely and quiet. The staff are fantastic. Every last one of them was friendly and helpful from before we arrived to the check out. The food is so good! The breakfast is great and the dinner was superb. There’s a good selection of starters and mains and the ones we had were delicious. The portions are much larger than we expected and the price is very reasonable. The room was comfortable and a decent size.

Lovely location and view across the golf course to the mountain beyond. Massive bed, complementary toiletries in the bathroom and a couple of bottles of mineral water. Teas, coffee, biscui etc replenished daily. Great choices for breakfast. Fantastic staff who really made us feel welcome and were always on hand to answer questions about local attractions etc.

Lovely location, we were ten mins away from Gretna green. Both Lynn and her husband were friendly and helpful. Lynn even offered to iron my husband's shirt as we forgot to do it before we arrived and he needed it for a friend's wedding. Cottage has everything you need. Really quiet and peaceful location. Shower is good and kitchen is well equipped. Garden is enclosed so you could have food outside at the bench if you wanted to.

Breakfast was nice Rooms clean but did not get tidied and condiments refilled. It was a good base for us as we were at a wedding. But would not have been a great location for a romantic get away.
