An absolute delight and great value for money. Down a path 100m off the main road you will find an assortment of rooms, gardens, fish ponds and shared spaces cascading down the hillside. Surrounded by countryside and amazing views. The on site restaurant served excellent food and easy to hire transport for local sightseeing and transfers. Thank you Nyoman and staff.

I liked that it was very new! Didn’t mind that the only way to access the property was via a private boat. Didn’t have much a fly or bug problem cos the place was new and clean. Bed was super comfy and the quilt kept us warm at night. The Eggs Benedict at breakfast was good - just note that cos they are very new, the menu is limited and they don’t have alcohol.

The whole stay was amazing. The Hotel is situated right by the main street so it's easy to find and route to all waterfalls is easy to reach from it. The stay at this place was very peaceful and delightful, and has very unique climat. Food is very delicious and there's a big menu variety.

The view is quite serene, particularly the sunsets. The room was super clean and very nice. It's far enough away from the towns so it's peaceful and I enjoyed the tranquility. The staff is very nice and I had a good conversation with the well-traveled owner.

If you like nature, this is a great option. A wonderful stay in a beautiful jungle setting surrounded by nature. The location is stunning and very peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. The restaurant was excellent, with great food and a lovely atmosphere. The staff were genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful — especially when we had a punctured tyre and they went out of their way to assist us in finding a garage. Exceptional service in a fantastic location.

Best holiday at Pondoks place we really loved the very special Balinese hotel, with views to the rice fields and own temple. The pictures even don’t show how beautiful the place is, every room has views to the rice fields and the swimming pool area is perfect. Also the rooftop restaurants are stunning 🤩 with the views. Also the owner is such a lovely man, he also went with us to see local attractions and we had nice conversations with him. Thank you for the great stay and we will come back for sure!

The villas were beautiful, very spacious and clean. Giriwood has a lot of amenities like the swimming pool, ping pong & billiard table, and a TV with Netflix account in each room. The snacks and water bottles in our room were replenished daily, which we found a really nice gesture. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, we basically only ate in the restaurant of Giriwood.

The place is very quiet, we were in 5 hotels, resorts and villas in Bali, this was the best place to stay. Away from the noisy Bali, you will be staying in your own villa with a magnificent view to the nature. The swimming pool is warmed from 8 to 8 pm. You can play billiard, table tennis. The TVs are with Netflix included from the owner. I loved this place. Sadly we have only stayed for one night. The restaurant was the best. The breakfast was very good.

The gardens were beautifully designed and very well kept with plants and fish ponds. The room 4 on the top floor had a wonderful view of the mountain out the window and was quiet. The swimming pool was small but had a lovely view overlooking the valley.

The accommodation was beautiful and clean. The staff was friendly and responsive. Good breakfasts. The hotel is within driving distance of all the beautiful waterfalls in northern Bali (Sekumpul, Banyumala, Aling-Aling). The pool is heated, and you can swim in it even during cool evenings while enjoying the view of the hills and the jungle illuminated by the setting sun.
