Very friendly family running the property, currently they are constructing a really large and beautiful pool, jacuzzi, Turkish steam room and sauna in a separate property adjacent their house. We enjoyed the dinner, especially the carrot soup. The owner shared local wine with us and showed us videos and additional activities in Sigchos.

The hostal is much nicer than the photos, as the facility was quite modern yet cozy. Typical in this area, night time was cold. However the blankets were incredibly warm and comfy. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We tried the local blueberry wine, which was surprisingly delicious. El Trapiche expects to have a pool, jacuzzi, and sauna ready by mid-August.

La ceña y desayuno fueron rico. John es agradable. I enjoyed my stay at El trapiche. John was an excellent host and very accommodating. They are building a pool, jacuzzi, and sauna for their guests.

A group of maybe 20/30 tourists came there from Isinlivi and we all got caught in the rain. Everyone gathered in a kind of social room with an oven to dry their clothes, chat, play pool, chess, read etc. It was nice for the night, especially if you are exhausted from the rain.

Cozy rooms, comfortable beds, and a really delicious breakfast :) The common room offers a place to dry clothes and to get to know other travelers, or playing pool or pingpong.

Huge property with hammocks , alpakas , zip line, playground, amazing view, big living rooms, pool, sauna and turkish bath with Eukalyptus from the local trees. Super super nice!

The hostel has a decent kitchen and nice common area with a pool table. They also offer cheap luggage storage if you go to Quilotoa Loop.

Helpful and kind staff, modern rooms with a nice finish and en suite bathroom, great communal facilities (fireplace, pool tables, ping pong, gym equipment if that's your kind of thing) and a book exchange. It's quite a big hostel with lots of rooms, which could put some people off but it still had a nice cosy vibe.
