Rooms were renovated, clean, and overall comfortable and hommy. The staff was very accommodating with our very late arrival. Breakfast was fantastic, and because it was winter, there were not a lot of people. This is more like a summer retreat than a regular hotel, with an outside pool, areas to chill, and surrounded by lemon trees.

This 5-star resort has a superb seafront location with direct access to Valencia's Las Arenas Beach. The Las Arenas Balneario Resort features 2 seasonal outdoor pools surrounded by loungers, and a luxurious spa. I stayed at this hotel on a weekend in February. The view of the sea from the lobby, which you can see the moment you arrive at the hotel lobby, is breathtaking and gives you a resort feeling. You will be glad you chose a seaside hotel. I was really relieved when I found out that there were Japanese speaking staff at the reception as English is not as spoken in Valencia as I thought it would be. The staff are all friendly and the rooms are very clean and well equipped. The beach is just a short walk from the hotel and the silky sandy beach was perfect for our little boy to play on. A short walk along the beach and there are slides and play equipment, which I think is a great place for children, even in the season when you can't go in the sea.

We stayed at Hotel Calderona for a few days and were genuinely impressed by the hotel itself. Everything was spotless and perfectly maintained from the elegant rooms to the high-tech fitness center, the Olympic-sized swimming pool, the paddle court, and the football field where my nephew enjoyed playing matches with friends. However, the only major issue was the restaurant service. The male servers were polite and courteous, but unfortunately, the two female waitresses were consistently rude and unprofessional. Over four days and multiple meals per day, we experienced very long wait times, cold attitudes, and what seemed like a clear lack of interest in their job which can truly affect a guest’s experience. We reported this to the front desk, who explained that the restaurant is managed by a separate company. While we understand that, we also made it clear that this level of service harms the hotel’s excellent reputation. It’s a real shame, because the hotel is truly outstanding in every other way. Guests who travel from abroad expect to enjoy their stay not have it soured by poor restaurant service. We hope management takes action, because the hotel deserves to offer excellence in every aspect.
