The location is easily accessible by car and allows for various day trips, after which it was nice to go to swimming in the well-maintained swimming pool and enjoy a glass of wine. The family suite/apartment and the entire property are very clean and well-maintained. In addition, the owners are very friendly and professional, which makes this place first-class. It was easy to relax and enjoy our time. We will come again!

La stanza era molto confortevole, arredata con gusto e silenziosa. La colazione con materie prime di altissimo livello. I proprietari, Lodovica e Patrick, ti fanno sentire a casa e hanno anche organizzato un'ottima cena per una sera. Abbiamo scelto di allungare il nostro soggiorno essendoci trovate così bene.

Located just on outskirts of Amboise (we easily reached it by bicycle from city center), Maison Chemin was a beautiful, well-appointed, and peaceful place for our family of five to stay. I wish I could have taken the beds and the linen bed clothes home with me. Cedric and Ombeline were the warmest, loveliest of hosts, and helpful in every way. Breakfast included house made preserves and yogurt (we had the choice of one infused with rose geranium), home baked treats, breads, local cheeses, and eggs and coffee to order. Nothing was lacking. A careful and very accessible selection of locally produced wines was available to guests to purchase at cost. The kids enjoyed using the pool table in the common/breakfast room and racing their bikes around the circular driveway. Not only would we recommend this chambres d’hôtes without hesitation, our experience was delightful enough that it could easily serve as our excuse to return again to the area.

Now if I do this little bit of paradise found justice in the review, you will either not believe me, or FAR more importantly I will never get to stay again because it will be fully booked! One winds through an ever narrower lane, not entirely sure of where it leads until the final corner when Domaine du Val Savage is revealed in all its natural beauty. Down a long private driveway, the first thing to observe is the wood fired hot tub on the left. Once you’ve passed this the house then reveals itself. With the swimming pool in front of it and Truffeau stone cliff, complete with caves to the right. All surrounded by forest and birdsong. The greeting from both Vincent and Caroline was very warm indeed. We were shown to our room by Caroline via the separate entrance through the woods. Travelling light is a bonus at this point ;-) The rooms are simply beautiful. Immaculately clean and very comfortable. This stay is a woodland oasis of calm. Should you not want to leave then evening meals etc are also available. We sampled three of these and all were delicious. We have visited the Loire many times now and this is head and shoulders above anywhere else we have stayed, and we’ve been very lucky previously.
