The architecture of this place is mind-blowing, the rooms are very pretty, the pools are clean and offerring a pleasant swim, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and the staff is really nice. The fact that the hotel is right by the beach and that you can lie on the beach and go swim in the pool at the same time sets this hotel apart from most hotels in the Rethymno city. Another great thing about the location of the hotel is that you can walk to the nearby tavernas for lunch or dinner or to the city centre (it's a 35-minutes walk to the old town). We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. We also liked the "adults-only" atmosphere - it was very peaceful at the pools and the beach. The hotel and the whole city also feels very safe and there is nobody who would disturb you at the beach (as it is common on some other touristic places).

An exceptional hotel, beautiful, spacious room, very clean and everything impeccable. They upgraded us to a room with a balcony and sea view so we also had a beautiful view. Quality breakfast, with various options and very tasty. Very good location, in 5 minutes walk you can reach the port, the center anywhere. We could park the car on the street without any problems and it is free. Very friendly staff always. We had a car breakdown and the gentleman at the reception did everything he could to help us. I recommend the hotel and we will definitely stay again.

It was our second stay in this beautiful hotel and each time their staff, services, amenities and atmosphere exceeded our expectations. Each staff member has meticulous attention to detail to anything they do, which made our stay so special snd unforgettable. Special thanks to Vaso and George who looked after my mum and I during breakfast and dinner:). Highly recommended and definitely will visit again!

The location is also good: it's just next to the main street with a bunch of shops, which will lead you to the old harbor. The beach is also easily accessible by foot. And there are drying racks provided, so you can dry your stuff after.

We loved everything! 🩷 The staff were very helpful, accommodating and friendly, the facilities are so very clean, comfortable beds, quiet, breakfast is lovely, and the view is beautiful! Featuring a restaurant and a pool with sun terrace amidst its palm-tree garden, Royal Sun lies within 3 km from the centre of Chania Town. We had a great stay at Royal Sun! The location is very convenient – close enough to Chania but away from the busy streets, which made it peaceful and relaxing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially the night shift receptionist, who was always welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options, and the restaurant has an incredible panoramic view over Chania – truly a highlight! The room was comfortable and clean, and one of the best features was the free shuttle service to the city center, which saved us the stress of looking for parking. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Chania.
