Having stayed at Kariappa House I can honestly say that I will certainly be back again. The staff are really very nice and helpful and Ramji was really nice and quite an interesting person. Not sure why an earlier guest did not like him. He went out of his way to help us. We met the owner Kakoli briefly. She was warm and friendly and invited us to stay back for Diwali celebration. The room was very clean and comfortable. Being a day before Diwali there were some cracker sounds but that was everywhere. Breakfast was excellent. We loved the in-house pets, Jazzy and the cats. The best feature was the pool. It was such a treat to have this lovely lap pool all to ourselves. The location is very close to the French Quarter (walking distance) but the approach is through some narrow roads which did not bother us. The Parking was very convenient. I will definitely be back for a longer stay.

The staff were exceptionally responsive -- from Anil who checked us in to Daia and Senthil and Karuna who served us dinner, and everyone else we encountered. The decor was minimalist, the rooms were spacious and bright, and the location was convenient for walking around. We had a couple of meals at the hotel, both of which were outstanding -- the moringa soup and the poached egg with bacon powder are must-haves.

The location is also really close to White town with many restuarants and beach in the vicinity.

The place was exactly like in the photos. I was impressed by the cleanliness of all areas. For me, it was hotel standard. The pool was super clean and comfortable. The kid's pool is great, though small, so that parents can swim comfortably. The garden is well maintained. The food is good and at a correct price. Special mention to the kitchen and Mohana who accomodated our requests for not spicy every single time. Kalai at the reception was very kind and helpful. Actually, all the staff is very kind and want to make you comfortable.
