Royal Island Resort & Spa ligt in het Baa-atol, op de Maldiven. Vanuit dit tropische eiland kijkt u uit over de Indische Oceaan. Island is stunning and a 30 minute walk around so big enough to stretch your legs. Accommodation is clean and comfortable and well equipped. Buffet restaurant is amazing and there is something for everyone. Staff are friendly and helpful and always smiling. Reef is badly bleached due to global warming but snorkelling is still fantastic. You will see so many different fish and even sharks (young) and turtles. Island is striving to be eco friendly and no plastic bottles anywhere! Solar will be introduced soon. Activities are over priced and therefore under used. $900 for a 20 minute flight to the nearby island from Male is a rip off.

Kiha Beach ligt in Finolhus, in de regio van het Baa Atoll en op 15 km van Baa Atoll. Het biedt een buitenzwembad en uitzicht op de zee. Mooi, verzorgd hotel op prachtige plek aan het strand. Op het strand mag je als vrouw badpak/bikini dragen. Je kan rond de rotsen in de baai prachtig snorkelen; wij hebben er ook haaien en schildpadden gezien. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze kunnen alles voor je regelen van de vluchten naar Malé tot de snorkeltours en stand-by staan voor de walvishaaien en manta’s. Ze hebben een eigen boot waardoor ze flexibel de zee op kunnen als de dieren gespot zijn. Onze terugvlucht werd gecanceld en zij hebben ons direct omgeboekt en alles geregeld. Het eten is ook prima; er zowel buffet als a la cart- optie.

From the moment we arrived the whole experience at Reethi was wonderful… superb Maldivian style room right in the beach and an amazing house reef steps from the shore we saw turtles , Wray’s, sharks and so many fish … our 5 th trip to the Maldives and Reethi had the best house reef we have seen . Staff all very helpful nothing too much trouble , food excellent … we will be back !!!

The luxurious Dusit Thani Maldives offers 94 Villas and Residences, located in Baa Atoll, the Maldives’ first and only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Everything about this resort was exceptional. We absolutely loved it! We went with our 8 month old baby and the staff could not have done more for us, they were so accommodating with everything. Even offering to make fresh purees for him. Just wonderful

Very clean central location and excellent value for money. They collect your bags from the harbour even though it’s a 2 minute walk. 5 minute walk to Bikini Beach and lots of local good restaurants nearby. Staff are very kind. Breakfast was excellent.

We had such a wonderful stay at the villa. The place is very spacious with large rooms, lots of light, and plenty of space to relax. Everything was spotless and very well maintained, which made us feel comfortable and at home right from the first day. The villa is also very peaceful and private, which was perfect for us to rest and enjoy our time. The staff were fantastic, always kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Thanks to them, our stay was smooth and truly relaxing. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we are leaving with the best memories. Thank you for everything.

Nice and helpfull staff who takes care of everything you need, clean room, good food, great location, 1 min from the beach, own diving and excursion center.

Personeel is super lief en doet er werkelijk alles aan om het naar de zin te maken. Ontbijt is in buffet vorm met een naar keuze ter plekke gemaakt eitje en vers gebakken wafel. Een heerlijk verblijf op een rustige lokale eiland. Met een betaalbaar watervliegtuig terug naar Malé maakt het vakantie gevoel compleet.
