This place is a rare find & absolutely gorgeous: Beautifully designed suites, pool and dining area, all with stunning views of the ocean and sloping vineyard, delicious breakfast with fresh local bread, cheese, fruit, etc. The Refúgio is run by a lovely family, who attended to all our needs with kindness and care (including our after-midnight arrival). We ordered dinner in the morning for that night and it was the best we’d had during our time on the islands: cooked with local ingredients and vegetables freshly harvested from their garden! The pool is clean and inviting, the water a pleasant temperature. Many hiking trails are easily reachable by foot, including the ‘coast to coast’ and ‘ten volcano hike’. The intimate size (four suites and two chalets) creates a true retreat feel. What a luxury! This place is a gem. We would return here in a heartbeat!

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the villa's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. The house was recently renovated (my opinion) . Workmanship was excellent. The house exterior,interior ,The patio ,barbeque area, pool and grounds are all nicely appointed and maintained to a high standard. The kitchen is well equipped with alot of extras(fruit, spices,condiments,etc). The house is isolated ,completely quiet with postcard worthly views. Bruno The owner is what is commonly known as a super host. Hé was there for me and my family in all aspects. In summary and top tier experience. My number 1 recommendation. Ps.
