The staff were all incredible, well trained, well presented, everyone was always smiling and couldn’t help you enough, I could not rate this place more highly, AMAZING.

We really enjoyed the place so close to the beach, with great villas - quality was on really good level, breakfast and restaurant provides very good food and choices. Staff were so nice and helpful. Location was also good, we rent a scooter in the hotel and could enjoy exploring the island. We were in April and it was not so crowded, we spend very nice time here.

Very nice place, love the surroundings. Very hospitable and service staff. The owner was my savior who helped me find some superheroes to climb palm trees. I had stuck my drone in a 10-15m high palm tree, 15min south on the island. They went all the way to climb up and take it down. Of course they got a big reward as a thank you🙏🏻❤️ Wanted to stay longer but it was already fullbooked.

Providing a bar, the property is located within 12 km of Klong Chao Waterfall. Certain units at the property include a terrace with a sea view. Honestly, I can’t understand the bad reviews. This hotel is one of a kind. First, if you don’t like the tropics, of course, you should stay in Europe. It’s an island and you’re gonna see animals like Geckos (for me, that’s a good sign). 1) The staff is exceptionally attentive and friendly, wherever you look, there’s always a smiling face. They constantly keep the property, the garden and the kitchen clean and go the extra mile to help you out with anything. They have a great service on WhatsApp, where they answer questions and requests 24/7. 2) Our room was clean, beautifully decorated, the mini bar (in reality, it was a buffet of snacks and drinks) refilled plentiful every day. The views are amazing, you can listen to the waves at night. 3) We had bad luck with the weather and stayed in a lot, which in other hotels would have been a problem. But we loved our stay here. We had an amazing in room massage too. 4) The breakfast was delicious and actually outstanding, the best we had in Thailand, with lots of Asian and European choices.

Markhouse Bungalow Ko Kut features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Ko Kood. Among the facilities at this property are an ATM and a tour desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Certain units at the property feature a balcony with pool view. Had a great little bungalow close to the pool. It had very good hot water in the shower. The bed was firm but extremely comfortable with good pillows, air conditioning plus a fan. A kettle, bottled water, hair-dryer, fridge and power outlets near the bed. No tea and coffee supplied, but I had my own. Free kayaks to take as desired for use. A billiard room, scooter rental and a small mini mart in the reception area which was very handy. Breakfast was included with very tasty food: all that you could require, including Thai food, toast, butter and jam, fruits, cereals, yoghurt, salad, eggs, pasties, juice, tea and coffee. The owner was very helpful in organising and booking my ferry transfer back to Trat. I believe there are also tours you can book there as well. To access the Khlong Chao beach you need to walk through the resorts across the road... about 5 minute walk. There was an ATM at reception, as well as across the road and one further up the street near BB Divers and the bakery. There are just a few restaurants around within walking distance, including two Dive shops, and I was able to walk to the night market, 11 minutes away. I was also able to walk to Khlong Chao Waterfall, about 30 minutes walk. Everything is spread out on Koh Kood with no real 'township', so that is why scooter is the only real way to explore on your own. The swimming pool at Markhouse was great and very clean. Rooms are cleaned every second day, though I believe you can request fresh towels as needed. Also, pool/beach towels available to use.
