hotel with absolutely incredible staff. Especially the staff at the reception and during breakfast. Complimentary access to Cove is also very cool. Breakfast was everyday 11/10. Size of hotel is perfect - there are no crowds and it is quiet. Close to the supermarket and location in JBR is very good for walk distance everywhere.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel – everything was absolutely perfect! The room was clean and comfortable, the facilities were excellent, and the overall atmosphere made it a truly relaxing experience. A special thank you to Thae from The Courtyard – she was exceptionally kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. We recently had the pleasure of staying at Bab Al Shams, and must say, it was an experience that surpassed all expectations. The service at Bab Al Shams was nothing short of exceptional. The staff members were not only professional and attentive but also genuinely warm and welcoming. Dana who checked us in was really lovely. From the moment we checked in until the day of our departure, we were treated with the utmost care and personalized attention. We really appreciated the dedication shown by Surinderjit at breakfast and Yashash on the night of the birthday celebration. Every request was met with a smile, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. The Dune bashing experience (desert tour) lead by Ismail was the highlight of our trip. It not only allowed us to immerse ourselves in the thrill of the Arabian desert but learn about flora and fauna which Ismail has a great knowledge of. He also took a lot of really cool photos and videos for us. The housekeeping service deserves a special mention as they went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. Our room was impeccably maintained, with a meticulous attention to detail. They even arranged a delightful birthday surprise for us. When we returned to our room on the special day, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated room and a scrumptious birthday cake. It was a truly memorable experience that added an extra touch of warmth and personalization to our stay. Thank you to all of you at Bab Al Shams. You were all amazing! ❤️

I have been attending and staying at Palazzo Versace in Dubai for many years now, my last stay was wonderful as always, I would like to specify my review by describing my experience first of all to thank all the Pool staff La Piscina and its Manager Mr Mohamed who has always took care of us, exceptional person of the highest professional profile, to the Great Executive Chef Luca, David, Piergiulio of Vanitas, to the drivers, to Mr Maurice of the Concierge,to the excellent laundry service, to room service, to Mr Subham who has always made we find an impeccable room and fresh flowers, to all the staff of Mosaico and La Vita Bar, the list would be too long to mention all the people I have the privilege of knowing in this hotel and who make everything so exceptional, I only frequent luxury hotels and have visited several in dubai and can honestly say many should learn from Palazzo Versace in regards to the true luxury experience being offered to a client,for me Palazzo Versace remains the best hotel in the world perfect all round absolute landmark of luxury and lifestyle,for this I congratulate the management who have been able to create a staff of this level with a unique and unforgettable experience see you soon Daniele

There was some mistake on booking.com hotel profile; I booked family room of 68 sq m, but in reality this room was 38 sq m. After discovering that, I went to sort it out to reception - and they handled it in a very good way, admitted mistake; It took a while, but eventually we were given different room in different hotel that met our expectations / initial booking. (hotel was in the same hotel compound, just 200m away). They also corrected booking.com description immediatelly. This is the true value of good customer service - handling exceptions; And this was a trip for my parents / 70th year birthday of my dad - Patrick, thanks a lot and warm regards to JA staff!

Highly recommended, great location, excellent service.... Already on arrival (at midnight) we were welcomed very friendly. The staff at check-in was very friendly and in a good mood. We immediately felt very comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect. Major attractions (Burj Khanlifa, Dubai Fountains, Dubai Mall, Hop-On-Hop-Off...) are in the immediate vicinity. We would like to highlight the service at the breakfast buffet. The selection at the buffet and the staff is outstanding. Many thanks to Ria, Jane and the whole team! The beds were comfortable. There was a coffee maker in the room. The pool and fitness center were nice. We stayed for four nights and were very pleased. The toilet and shower were large and clean. Everything was very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

I've visited Dubai twice so far.

I've visited Dubai twice so far. Each time, i've had new experiences. There is so much to do. My recommendations, Ski Dubai and the Burj Khalifa have to be on your to do lists. The malls are absolutely incredible. They themselves are destinations it feels like. A lot of thought looks to have gone into making the mall going experiences highly enjoyable. The city itself, feels incredibly safe and welcoming.

This is one of the best places I stayed in Dubai. The apartment is beautiful, with a comfortable bed, a nice high desk to work from, plenty of room in the cupboards, a great kitchen and bathroom. Host was extremely helpful and communicative, an excellent host. The parking is easy and covered. The pool is beautiful, with very comfortable sun lounges, perfect to relax after a long day at work. I will definitely book this place again.

Great camp with the BEST staff.

Great camp with the BEST staff. They tend to your needs around the clock. My only drawback is the restroom situation. The toilet and shower is in one very small stall. Had to hang change of clothes in different stall to keep the shower from wetting them. Another drawback is COLD showers. No hot water at all even after letting it run for some time. My husband caught a slight cold because the desert gets cool in the evening, and the walk back to the tent from the cold shower did him in. Also on my booking confirmation , it said there would be a bidet in the tent. There was not one, but I think that is best. Not mad about that at all. On a good note, we really enjoyed the dishes we were served with such great variety. The entertainment was nice. We booked for two nights, but one night is more than enough. I would definitely recommend this camp to anyone wanting a different Dubai experience.

Dubai isn't for everybody.

Dubai isn't for everybody. It is now a sprawling city of concrete, plate glass and traffic. It is great if you are going there for work - visiting or permanent - or if you are visiting for a specific event. If you are going for a vacation, however, there are nicer and more cost-effective places to go! And I wouldn't say it was a place for children under 16 to get much out of it. Accommodation and transport a fairly priced; food and drink prices are outrageous.

Dubai is a great place for a two-week work trip.

Dubai is a great place for a two-week work trip. The city is built for efficiency, so getting around is easy whether you use the Metro, taxis, or Careem. Meetings run smoothly because most offices, cafés, and co-working spaces have fast Wi-Fi and long opening hours. You can grab food from almost anywhere, at any time, with every cuisine you can think of available for delivery. Even with a busy schedule, it’s simple to fit in downtime. You can walk along the Marina in the evenings, explore neighbourhoods like Downtown or JBR, or enjoy the beaches and malls without needing much planning. The mix of safety, convenience, and constant activity makes Dubai one of the easiest cities to work from.
