I was surprised how much I liked the Geraldton area.
I was surprised how much I liked the Geraldton area. I would think three days is probably all you need to spend there. Unfortunately it is probably a little far from Perth. Glad we went especially as a launching place to see the Murchison gorge and Kilbarri which was beautiful. I think you really need to do a bit more research than I did to make the trip more fulfilling. Unfortunately in Western Australia there is a lot of driving to get to places. September and early October best time to visit as wildflower season. Would think too hot to do in peak of summer.Guest review byDavinAustralia - 10.0
We will be back!!!
We will be back!!! Fantastic vacation with our kids, TONS to do for any type of vacation from family to couple to single personb and good have a different vacation each time. Hiking was so much fun and the whale watching tour was phenomenal! So many gorgeous photoshoot locations. Nature's window, Red bluff look out and hike down to beach, hire your own boats, loads of cafes, great pizza!Guest review byKimberlyAustralia - 10.0
Carnarvon is a quiet coastal town with a relaxed pace.
Carnarvon is a quiet coastal town with a relaxed pace. You’ll find fresh produce at the Gascoyne Growers’ Market and local seafood at nearby cafes. The Fascine waterfront is great for walks and sunset views. Visit the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum for a look at Australia’s role in space history. The One Mile Jetty and Heritage Precinct offer a glimpse into the town’s past. Quobba Blowholes and the nearby coral coast are good for day trips. The town suits short stays and road trips. Accommodation is simple and service is friendly.Guest review byDexterH71Australia - 10.0

Jurien Bay has good beaches, good fishing and has a good shopping centre. It has access to the Lesueur National Park and other coastal areas both north and south. Has a range of places to eat and is a nice quiet safe town to visit.Guest review byKevinAustralia - 6.0

We visited Exmouth because of its proximity to Ningaloo reef. We planned to spend several days snorkelling. However the coral was quite dead and algae covered so we were disappointed by that. However we did enjoy the great variety of colourful fish and saw turtles, sharks and stingrays. We also enjoyed a sunset whale watching cruise where we saw many hump back whales.Guest review byMichelleAustralia - 10.0

We went out to Francoise Peron national park (4WD only), the Aquarium with lunch, and golf at the most westerly course and a good meal at the pub. Due to the weather our trip to Dirk Hartog was cancelled but we support the wise decision of the tour operator who provided us a 100% refund.Guest review byPomfret - 10.0
Was able to check in before 2pm.
Was able to check in before 2pm. Before checking in we went out to the Pinnacles, which was out of this world, bit warm the hottest day we had while away. First night there we eat at the pub as the motel had a private function on. We eat at the motel the second night, meal was quite good, Breakfast was at the motel and had a large range of food. Very easy to get around Cervantes.Guest review bymargaretAustralia - 8.0
Dongara is a great location.
Dongara is a great location. To have the beach nearby and then wildflowers and rural communities near as well. Though it was winter it was still wonderful to catch the sunset at the beach. Restaurants were fabulous and the town had a good vibe.Guest review byJillianAustralia - 6.0

Obviously being the school holidays, Exmouth is packed to the brim. The gorgeous locations like Turquoise bay, lakeside, yardie creek etc were all full of people, so my advice to other families is to get to your destination early to beat the crowds.Guest review byAnonymous
