Geraldton is a quaint little town with a few retail gems! The beaches are outstanding and the people generally friendly. Public transport / taxi's are a challenge and accommodation is as rare as hens teeth! If planning a trip get in really early! We will be back!!! Fantastic vacation with our kids, TONS to do for any type of vacation from family to couple to single personb and good have a different vacation each time. Hiking was so much fun and the whale watching tour was phenomenal! So many gorgeous photoshoot locations. Carnarvon is a quiet coastal town with a relaxed pace. You’ll find fresh produce at the Gascoyne Growers’ Market and local seafood at nearby cafes. The Fascine waterfront is great for walks and sunset views. Visit the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum for a look at Australia’s role in space history. The One Mile Jetty and Heritage Precinct offer a glimpse into the town’s past. Quobba Blowholes and the nearby coral coast are good for day trips. The town suits short stays and road trips. We visited Exmouth because of its proximity to Ningaloo reef. We planned to spend several days snorkelling. However the coral was quite dead and algae covered so we were disappointed by that. However we did enjoy the great variety of colourful fish and saw turtles, sharks and stingrays. Was able to check in before 2pm. Before checking in we went out to the Pinnacles, which was out of this world, bit warm the hottest day we had while away. First night there we eat at the pub as the motel had a private function on. We eat at the motel the second night, meal was quite good, Breakfast was at the motel and had a large range of food.
