- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 289 reviewsWe absolutely loved our stay at Wallaby Ridge Retreat! We received a friendly greeting from our host after our very last-minute booking. The villa was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had lovely dips in the saltwater pool, and enjoyed watching the sunset from the spa. There was an adorable wallaby family (including a super cute joey in its mum's pouch) that hopped around the property. We really appreciated that we could have all the doors and windows open in our villa to enjoy the bush view and sounds and keep the room cool, as there were screens to keep the bugs out - we didn't even need to turn on the AC. We took the opportunity to visit the local wineries, and there was a town close by for groceries. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at Wallaby Ridge Retreat!Guest review byLizNew Zealand
- From US$254.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 77 reviewsThe view from the rooms at The Tamborine is absolutely spectacular. The hotel feels like the perfect escape from the everyday. The hub area is so beautifully done, the mineral pool is warmer than you would expect and it feels like the perfect getaway into the hinterland. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. At night, the sound of the rainforest on the balcony is enchanting. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable - we can't wait to come back and stay again!Guest review byRebeccaAustralia

From the hosts to the place itself, full of charm, a beautiful mix of Polish and Australian culture. The views are out of this world with beautiful lorikeets and other birds coming to your balcony. Ania, Phil and their family were so welcoming that it just felt like home. The facilities are great, everything that you need is there. Can’t wait to go back soon.Guest review byKarolinaUnited Kingdom

I bought my international partner to experience my home city (Gold Coast), and he was impressed. We loved every minute, inky downside was we should have stayed an extra night! Highly recommend it for a couple of nights or two.Guest review byTerriNetherlands

Get your bearings, see Jeff at the information centre, so helpful with maps and recommendations- then just keep going, choices are endless for rain forest walks, falls, botanical gardens and of course Gallery Walk which includes the German Cuckoo clock shop and George’s Greek restaurant- fabulous place to visit.Guest review bySharonAustralia - 10.0

Our group of friends had a fantastic weekend at the Bower Cottages. The cottages were charming, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Nestled in a peaceful bush setting, it felt like a true escape from the hustle of daily life. We loved sitting out on the deck in the mornings, surrounded by birdsong and nature. The location was perfect – just a short drive to the wineries, walking trails, and local shops. Highly recommend for a relaxing and comfortable stay with friends!Guest review byJenniferAustralia - 8.0

Fabulous location surrounded by National Parks offering numerous activities. Vibrant small town with lots of interesting & useful outlets. Surrounding suburbs are so idyllic places to live in amongst the rainforest.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 10.0
Very interesting area with many rainforest walks.
Very interesting area with many rainforest walks. The B & B is very comfortable accommodation with million-dollar views of the Gold Coast. Breakfast was served on the deck accompanied by Pied Butcherbirds and Sulphur-crested Cockatoos. The stone archway and flower planters were there in 1966.Guest review byWeller - 10.0

We loved our stay at the cottage, felt so at home but a hint of luxury. Absolutely everything you could ever need available to you in the cottage and the hosts are very accommodating. Such a beautiful place huge kitchen with amazing view and back deck/second bathroom are also so nice with great views. Would be great for a family, within walking distance of eagle heights resort and a 5 minute drive to amazing restaurants + cafes. Plenty of hikes and rainforest views all round!Guest review byJennaleeAustralia - 8.0
Not too busy area even though just before Christmas period.
Not too busy area even though just before Christmas period. The Curtis fall is not long for walking (1 Kilometre return from the car park). Not recommended for them who has trouble with walking as there are few steps as well. Lots of bats with shrill noise throughout the walk. Mind the steps as the path is slippery in some areas. Botanical garden is very nice and quiet place for the solo traveler. There are many restaurants and cafes around the area. Lot of artifacts stores like the clock store etc if you just want to walk around the main streets. Not far from Brisbane, a day trip will suffice if not planning to stay overnight if not preplanned for the day to spend. Book the Glow warm tour ahead online if it a part of your to do list. Don't forget to visit the winery for tasting.Guest review byMrs. RoyAustralia - 6.0
Mt tamborine needs a face lift.
Mt tamborine needs a face lift. Looking very tired on it now from what it looked like in the 70ies More like a forgotten place with lots of dilapidated buildings, with some junk stores in the tourist spotsGuest review byNoelAustralia - 10.0
Lovely getaway location with lots to do!
Lovely getaway location with lots to do! The Gallery Walk was excellent shopping and a few great distilleries to visit as well. We did Waterfall Walks, had delicious coffee and had plenty of eating out options. Can highly recommend 'Three Little Pigs' for dinner!Guest review byKayla - 2.0
Pretty disappointed with the facilities.
Pretty disappointed with the facilities. We will be leaving early. If I had had a closer look on arrival I would have stayed on the coast and let you keep the money. The room was totally uninviting and cold. The bathroom had scum and hairs through it. The bed sheets were filthy. Food and stains on the linen( can only imagine what from. Nothing had been cleaned from previous guests. Shocking. $200 should have provided clean, organised and personalised experience. I don’t live like this. Thanks for making me live like this for a night. Sorry. I won’t be coming back or recommending you to anyone. Quite the opposite. Regards. Michael.Guest review byAnonymous
