Country location with a city feel.
Country location with a city feel. Great cafes and restaurants in both Albury and Wodonga. High end shopping centre. Short drive to wineries and and tourist towns like Beechworth, Bright and Yarrawonga. When ever I am in Albury I always stock up on great produce at Harris’s Farm Markets. Take a stroll through the Botanic Gardens.Guest review byDianeAustralia - 10.0

Bright is our favourite place in the world, so I guess we’re a little biased. I could wax lyrical all day about how it’s the perfect spot for families with the river, the wonderful adventure playground, the splash park, the walking tracks and the ice-cream shop with the best ice-cream, not to mention the perfect spot for adventurers at the base of Mt Buffalo and close to the ski fields of Falls Creek and Mt Hotham. It’s the perfect spot for those who don’t want to travel around as everything you could need is within walking distance, and of course the perfect spot for gardeners with the abundance of spring blooms and glorious autumn colour, and let’s mot forget the perfect spot for cyclists … I could go on and on. Instead, I’ll just quote Molly: do yourself a favour!Guest review byDavidAustralia - 8.0

What a lovely surprise Wangaratta was, a super town filled with great shops, sadly I didn’t get to shop as they were closed when I arrived on Saturday (they close at 1pm-ridiculous in this day & age) but they looked good and it would have been nice to visit some of the shops there (they were also closed on Sunday). However there are great cafes there and a variety of takeaway, particularly pizza shops but I highly recommend Luca Pizza & Pasta. Fabulous pizzas and great service. Nice selection & good wines.Guest review byHEATHERAustralia - 6.0

Wodonga is the more upmarket side of the NSW/Victoria border. It lacks much in the way of heritage, with only the old railway station (now a trendy cafe area) as any real form of architecture. Albury is a bit more heritage-minded, although not the most pleasant of towns overall, with something of a rough reputation compared with its Victorian twin.Guest review byRailway TobyAustralia - 8.0

Wonderful area for those interested in early australian history. Pity local council doesn't promote it more eg.Old tannery site etc. They seem to be preoccupied with push bike riding.locals are very friendly and welcoming.Guest review byPt Clare travellerAustralia - 10.0
Benalla is a lovely town.
Benalla is a lovely town. This was our third time visiting as we pass through on the way from Sydney to Melbourne. The Botanic Gardens and Art galleries should not be missed. Taking a walk through the lovely shops and backstreets will reveal many interesting paintings on the walls. For longer stays there are also silo trails which need a car to explore. The locals are friendly and there are plenty of supermarkets and takeaways for convenient food.Guest review byGayle - 10.0

Staff were very helpful, friendly and professional in every interaction I had with them, I was treated as if I was their only guest. I had a lot of questions for the staff, they answered every question with a smile and great communication. This is the first time I have travelled on my own since my husband died 6 years ago.Guest review byDorothy - 6.0

It has been over 20yrs since i have visited Buller in the Winter and stayed overnight. I found the B-Tag system not as user friendly as one would like. I tried topping up my daughters pass and in the end had to go to ticketing. fortunately the honoured the cheaper pricing. We ate at the Buller Chalet, great food and reasonable prices for the mountain. Staff here were lovely. Also ate at The Villager - excellent food and also good value. Staff here were great. Kofflers staff all amazing. I do believe however there really needs to be a cap on how many come to this mountain now. The bus loads of day trippers was something I have never ever seen in my life! Tim to either expand this resort or get a new mountain to open up!!Guest review bySilkyappleAustralia - 10.0
People in Myrtleford were friendly and very very pleasant.
People in Myrtleford were friendly and very very pleasant. Went to the Farmers Market yesterday (Saturday 23.8) and met some of the producers and farmers and the goods I bought were fresh and delicious. I recommend going to their Farmers Market if you get a chance. It is a monthly event.Guest review byLuke & MariaAustralia - 8.0
Location was great.
Location was great. For a short vacation it was a good place to stay. Property manager Whitney was very helpful right from booking to check out. Room could have been a bit bigger for more comfortable stay but you dont go to mount beauty to stay in a room so was alright.Guest review byKetSanAustralia
