- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 101 reviewsGreat communication even before we arrived and we received a lovely welcome from Annick. The room was incredible, we felt like we’d arrived in a luxury apartment, it was so well appointed in a rustic, shabby chic style. Comfortable huge bed with a rural view and sunset from the mezzanine level. Fabulous rain showerhead and twin sinks for the bathroom. Mini kitchenette with everything you’d need to cook yourself, although there are restaurants and a carrefour supermarket just 10mins drive away in Kortenaker. We arrived during a heatwave and the room wasn’t unbearable, cooling down at night, despite no air conditioning. The B&B is located within a pear orchard with rural views, peace and quiet. Breakfast was excellent, continental style with eggs freshly cooked, fresh buns and sweet pastries from the local bakery, jams, juice, cereal, everything was delicious. Annick and Jürgen were the perfect hosts, we wouldn’t hesitate to return.Guest review byEmmaUnited Kingdom
- From US$137.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,067 reviewsThe stay was perfect for what we needed. The neighborhood of the hotel is very beautiful, the room is comfortable, clean, bright. It's not luxurious, it's simple but cozy. I thought the renovation was very beautiful. Overlooking a river, with a brasserie with a veranda facing the water. Breakfast is very good, above average, with a variety of breads, croissant, yogurt, juice, fruit. In Belgium they rarely tear down old buildings. They have made good use of this old building with a beautiful renovation, with an annexe (done very often in old buildings in the country). I found it cozy and they deserved to have a booking score above 9.Guest review byPriscilaNetherlands
- From US$160.96 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 376 reviewsA lovely overnight escape from our 3 young children. Large, clean, beautifully decorated, quiet, good food, comfy bed, cycles available for free, room with tourist maps etc. We booked one of the sauna rooms which was fabulous. We used the cycles to go 2km to the local village (all along a flat cycle path) for our evening meal at restaurant Halte22 (this restaurant was much better than its website suggested, we recommended booking, because it was packed).Guest review byFionaBelgium
- From US$127.96 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.0Good - What previous guests thought, 585 reviewsThe room is really spacious. The bed is really comfortable. The heating system is wonderful. We thought it would be cold at night but we even had to open the window for a while. The breakfast is really satisfying. Special thanks to the lady who was on duty on 6th July in the morning. She was really nice and helpful.Guest review byOnurTurkey

Diest is really understated.
Diest is really understated. There are some lovely historic parts of the town to explore, the Grand Place has some very good restaurants and it's surrounded by beautiful countryside. It's a very calm, peaceful place to visit. Our favourite restaurant was Nicky's Catwalk in the Grand Place.Guest review byAlisonUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A very pretty little town.
A very pretty little town. Very clean and safe to walk and cycle around. Lots of eating and drinking options and plenty of shops. There is a very nice river running through town. From the bar at the back of Jacos Bar/Restaurant you can sit and watch the ducks on the river.Guest review byClausDenmark - 10.0

Diest is a charming small town in Belgium that offers everything a family could need. During our 8-day stay, we enjoyed the beautiful old town, filled with cozy cafés, restaurants, and pubs, as well as lovely local stores alongside major brands. The town is surrounded by clean air and lush greenery, making it a refreshing place to relax. Halve Maan Park was a highlight, with its outdoor pool and sand beach, perfect for family fun. The park also offers golf, children’s playgrounds, and free access to most areas, including parking in the nearby forest. One of the most fascinating aspects of Diest is the Beguinage, a UNESCO-protected site dating back to the 13th century. The history of these communities, founded by single women who supported and protected each other, is truly inspiring. Diest's excellent location also makes it a convenient base for exploring other cities, with a train station that connects directly to the heart of Brussels. The people of Diest are incredibly polite, welcoming, and laid-back, which made our experience even more enjoyable.Guest review byilustratorkaSerbia - 10.0
I had never been before in Aarschot.
I had never been before in Aarschot. But it is a very nice city to visit. Many beautifull housese, old begijnhof... It is not a big city, but from here you can make trips to the surrounding city's, Scherpenheuvel, diest..Guest review byErikBelgium
