A perfect place to stay for visiting Ghent if you come by car. Free private parking, great big room on the ground floor, luxury bath tub, amazing breakfast. The lady on the reception was very nice and welcoming. Just 30mins by car from Ghent -- much more than you get for the same price in the city. Dendermonde is also a cute town to explore.

    This property is beautiful the pictures on their website don't do it justice it was so much more than we had expected. We Would 100% recommend it to anyone looking to book and we would make this our go to for future trips to Belgium. Well equipped, comfortable, spacious, relaxing surroundings. Their garden was wonderful and could be used, the property itself was beautiful.

    Lovely little town right between Brussels and Ghent - so...

    Lovely little town right between Brussels and Ghent - so perfect location to explore both cities if you have a car. The village itself is peaceful, clean and green with lots of helpful people who speak English and French. There is an amazing little tavern in the village where we stayed, but many more restaurants in the town.

    The buildings and architecture reflect the age of the buildings, but the buildings have been well maintained. The people are friendly, helpful and will assist the visitor in way they can. The prices are moderate and so shopping and dining are first rate.

    A small city/large town with all amenities. English is spoken at limited spots. This is largely a residential suburb of Brussels. We were visiting a friend who helped with communications and translations.

    Our B&B was wonderful, unfortunately it was very cold and a bit bitter in februari, was there for family business, but enjoyed the time in Wetteren, stayed over 2 nights in Gent and must admit there is a lot more to offer in Gent, really enjoyed the city of Gent 🫠

    If you want to travel around Belgium, I highly recommend Dendermonde, because it's in the middle and train connections to big cities are excellent (and almost all are direct). City is smaller, very nice and there is a secret gnome village in the big park next to the station. :))

    Nice little town with a cozy city center, good food places, some nice shops and a rather relaxed athmosphere. And also a nice parc in walkinf distance. A stay here is highly recommanded if you wanna escape the big cities around, but still feel like being somewhere interesting.

    Geraardsbergen was a fantastic City, with wonderful sites and shopping. The restaurants were all fantastic and really friendly, and not too expensive. That depended on what you wanted to eat and drink.

    Best: clean, modern, room smells good. Bed comfortable. Easy parking. Worst: 10 mile detour to get there. No hair dryer, no coffee making facilities in the room. Old thin, frayed towels. Staff talking loudly outside our room window late in the evening when we were trying to sleep. Eating out: Ghent is full of eateries - just 7 mile away.
