- From US$115.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 697 reviewsWe loved our stay at the Sand Pebbles Inn. Stunning views from our room looking out over the bay ! Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and although the building is situated on the main road we hardly noticed the noise from the traffic. Sand Pebbles is ideally situated and only a short walk/drive into the town - uphill - and there are a couple of bars in either direction for food and/ or drink. All in all we'd thoroughly recommend Sand Pebbles Inn!Guest review byJulianUnited Kingdom

Great facilities - fridge and coffee maker in each room and extras available at reception with cold, filtered water also available. Free mini golf next door and popcorn available at reception. Reception open until midnight and everyone who served us was really friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.Guest review byLauraUnited Kingdom

- From US$179.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 615 reviewsAmazing location on the beach. We had a family suit and it was lovely and very comfortable. Small kitchen, all necessary supplies, dishwasher - all that you need for a family. A gas chimney was really cool (cozy and warm). Very good restaurant in the hotel and you can order room service including breakfast. The personnel were very welcoming and friendly. We shall definitely get back here.Guest review byElenaFrance
- From US$122.43 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 376 reviewsFantastic view and close proximity to the ocean. Lovely garden with patios and chairs though the weather did not allow for much use of it. We enjoyed walking on the beach and found downtown Qualicum beach beautiful and very convenient. The flat itself was beautifully decorated and well furnished. We would have loved to have stayed longer!Guest review byAnnickFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 108 reviewsThe resort is so beautiful and well taken care of. The cabins are close but it is so quiet and you feel private. The kitchen was so well equipped. As I like to read in the evening I could have used better lighting.Guest review byIreneCanada

Nice to have a breakfast in the morning but I found the omelet and sausage bland. The waffles were fun. The room was great. We booked two rooms so our family could join us. Wish we could have had adjoining rooms but one wasn't available.Guest review byJosefCanada - 10.0
Parksville is a pretty area to visit.
Parksville is a pretty area to visit. If you like smaller places to stay, I'd recommend coming here. There's lots to see and do. Had breakfast at the Brazen Poppy Cafe. Great food and coffee. Would have gone twice, but was closed one of the days we were in the area. Parksville is close to Coombs to see the goats on the roof and take a wander through the Market and all the stores in the area. Also a fairly short drive to Cathedral Grove which is a great place to walk around in all the large trees. There is a Butterfly World close by that was fascinating to go through. On our next trip to Vancouver Island, this would be on our list of places to come back to.Guest review byHildaCanada - 10.0
Everything was great!
Everything was great! We found the bed to be comfy at first but it ended up being too soft for us. Some people may prefer it that way and that’s ok. We are just used to a firmer bed. Fabulous view and a nice little balcony to sit and enjoy it! Friendly staff too!Guest review byKimberlyCanada - 10.0
The space was great.
The space was great. Sat on the couch and could see the ocean view. I easily walked around the neighbourhood. There is a marina within walking distance with a restaurant and coffee shop. Very lovely but was closed during my stay. Ate at Qualicum Beach Cafe. Great happy hour menu and also at The BeachClub Resort in Parksville. You do need a car. Lots of hiking, biking, walking, kayaking and beaches.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

This wasn't our first trip to Nanaimo so we did know our way around most of the city and beyond, but it is always a great place to be. We love the well planned Harbour walkways, many events in the parks, the beach trails. Our favourite beach walks are Piper's Lagoon and Neck Point. There are many good music venues, restaurants, scenic drives and walks. We easily found side roads that were basically parallel to the highway to get to and from downtown. Nanaimo has has a LOT to offer any visitor of any age! Can't wait to return!Guest review byTerry & PatCanada - 6.0

Not much to do, really; except relaxing in the hotel facilities and enjoying the scenery. Parksville could benefit greatly from a few more nice dining facilities and cafés. Also, unlike towns such as Campbell River, Parksville did not offer any opportunities for browsing and shopping.Guest review bylaal - 8.0

The farmers market on Saturday was fantastic - I got the best scones I've ever had from one of the vendors. it would have been nice to have a little more time to explore the town and the beach but we were there for a wedding so had limited "tourist" hoursGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Stayed here coming back from Tofino to catch the Nanaimo ferry the next day. Fabulous hosts, great views over the Bay from the hillside, easy access, spacious property, immaculately clean, peace and quiet, yet close to town. Certainly a place I will will come back to soon. I rate it five stars. At the Provincial Park in nearby Parkville, I saw 12 orcas right off the beach.Guest review byJelleUnited States - 10.0
The Inner Harbor was beautiful.
The Inner Harbor was beautiful. The Snowbirds did a show when I was there. The harbor was lively and fun. The hiking in the area was awesome. Nanaimo is easy to navigate with a car. Great halfway stop between Victoria and Tofino.Guest review byMary LynnUnited States - 10.0
We were there for the last 3 days of the beach festival.
We were there for the last 3 days of the beach festival. The sand sculptures, illuminated at night, were amazing (in the true meaning of the word) in their artistry and creativity. The beaches, parks and old growth trees were a delight to see. There are several excellent and unique restaurants. This town is perfect for a romantic couple's break or for a family with children. A suggestion for the City Council: Provide a small, free, illustrated map of the city with various attractions and the unique places to eat, visit and play.0 Tony Keble.Guest review byAnthonyCanada
