We had to stay in Golden. We had appointment in Radium, were taking others with us that weren't able to go until Sat morning. Golden is not a tourist "mecca" just a means to an end. We are traveling. We took 2 days off to relax in style. Breakfast was included. Bacon. Eggs. Potatoes. Pancakes and cereal. Coffee. Swimming pool with hot tub. Lovely. I love a very hot bath. This room didn’t disappoint. Water was hot and fast filling. We asked for a quiet room and ground level as no elevators. We were very happier with our stay. The price was discounted. I liked that. Very pretty, walkable small town. Downtown on Saturday night was very quiet. Lots of restaurant choices for dinner, we ended up at the Bridge Bistro - loved the river walk on the way back to our hotel. Mountain views everywhere! Best place ever- we swam in the river, paddle boarded, rafted, spent a day in Invermere, a day at Wasa, went to the waterfall pools, did the footbaths, used the hit springs pool and road our bikes in to Invermere and back to Fairmont.
