- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 656 reviewsFrom the moment we arrived, we knew we were in experienced, well trained hands. We were especially impressed with room service. They responded to requests, (often not on the menu) with unusual understanding and even better, everything that arrived at our room was delicious. The staff members we encountered, without exception, inquired about our satisfaction with the hotel. Everyone is well trained and good at what they do. Therefore I must believe that this attention to detail starts with senior management at guest services and that magic works its way throughout the hotel. The view from our room was spectacular but the people who work there are even better. Thank you for a memorable stay, Rimrock!Guest review byDouglasUnited States

Wonderful area to explore the mountains of Canada.
Wonderful area to explore the mountains of Canada. Early October didn't have too many crowds. There are many places to see on your own, so consider renting a car and hitting the road. We truly enjoyed the fresh, mountain air and the downtown area of Banff. Banff is quite expensive, especially going out to eat, so be prepared for that.Guest review byErikaUnited States - 10.0

North America, Alberta, Canmore/Banff are blessed with great art artist and art galleries. Canmore has.4-5 good art galleries. Plus they have.4-5 wildlife photography Studios and art that rival anything in the world. Walking in Canmore is fascinating whether in the urban area or walking the linear pieces of water and forest that are integrated in the community. Banff is 20 minutes away. If you want to hike in the Rockies half an hour, we'll get you at a great country. The food scene is mature. Some great morning coffee places to start your day. We live in Calgary and go to Canmore at least twice a year for.2 or 3 nights to enjoy the ambience.Guest review byArtCanada - 10.0
What can I say except for WOW!
What can I say except for WOW! My husband and I were there in Sept/Oct and everywhere we turned was another magnificent view of a mountain, glacier, canyon, lake. We rented bikes and rode to Vermillion Lakes and beyond. We hiked up Johnston Canyon, we took easy and more challenging walks, and met people from around the world. We flew into Calgary, drove to Banff, then to Castle Junction and stayed in two places I would recommend - Johnston Canyon Lodge and Bungaloos and Castle Mountain Chalets. We had a great trip!Guest review byChinelli - 10.0

Banff is a great town!
Banff is a great town! An hour away from Lake Louise and Lake Moraine and the beginning of the Icefields Parkway. Great places to eat! We ate at the Elk & Oarsman, which is changing it's name to just the Elk. Food was great, service excellent, and the view from the rooftop dinning was spectacular! It is a tourist town, but a great place to base a trip to Banff National Park.Guest review bychrisg4jcUnited States - 10.0
Lovely town with super walks along the river.
Lovely town with super walks along the river. The views to the Three Sisters was worth the stay alone. Plenty of nice places to eat at a reasonable price. Lots of decent tourist shops and galleries.Guest review byCarolUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A wonderful spot for a family get-together.
A wonderful spot for a family get-together. We had 6 cabins, close to each other, very clean and big enough to be very comfortable. Kitchens had everything one could think of to prepare our meals. Lots of open space for children to run free and play safely without any worry about traffic. The Johnson Canyon hike just down the road is amazing but it is likely best not to plan to do it on a long weekend in the summer as crowded.Guest review byGailCanada - 8.0

Location was relatively close to Nakiska where we were skiing and close to Canmore if one wanted to go out to dinner or needed groceries. Lots of activities to do in the Canmore area and adjacent Banff National Park.Guest review byStuartCanada - 8.0

Much less busy than Banff, so easier to get around and quieter in town. It is also less expensive and all the people we met were very friendly. We went on a river ride, if we had stayed longer we would have gone hiking and explored the surrounding area more. Great outdoor market in Elevation Place.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom
