We came to Prince George to visit the Ancient Cedars and what a great experience that was just over 1 hour and 15 min past PG. We also spent time geocaching im the area, visiting many parks like Moores Meadow, Connaught Hill, and Ness Lake which was great for swimmkng, and Deadfall brewing which were all fantastic. We quite enjoyed our mini trip to Prince Geroge.Guest review byRosemarieCanada - 2.0
Convenience off AlCan highway and to fuel.
Convenience off AlCan highway and to fuel. Air conditioner/heater did not work - The Outside door catch bar was broken and coming out of the wall. When I reported these items, the response was "they can't get in from outside with the locked door. The staff stated there was a thermostat on the wall - there is not. We had our cooler stolen out of the back of the truck. Many people were milling around the hotel parking lot, restaurants, and Walmart. With the amount of people "milling", it's not surprising they stole the cooler, but there were a lot more valuable items in the truck and they took my Gatorade, soda, and water. When asked the staff to see the cameras, she did not know how to run the cameras back, she would have the manager call - STILL WAITING for that call. We will NOT stay at this hotel or area again.Guest review byJuneUnited States - 8.0

If you're OK with walking in the rain, there is a lot PR has to offer: Great restaurants and shops! The people in general are friendly! The air is clean and soft. The ocean is gorgeous especially when it's sunny. You can easily go kayaking with different outfits that take you. There are a number of really great trails to walk. The cannery site in Port Ed is well worth the trip out there and the food there is amazing. There is usually something going on that involves live music and other performances. It's got a nice vibe. People tend to be unpretentious and down to Earth. But one thing I noticed is that the number of East Indians is huge and I felt like a minority....it feels like an invasion...I am not racist but it was so noticeable. It's too much.Guest review byVinciguerra - 10.0
The downtown area is really pretty, and very clean.
The downtown area is really pretty, and very clean. I didn't see any garbage at all even walking around. There are a few unhoused people in the area , but many said Hi as we passed and where very nice. The footbridge offers a beautiful view of the river , we loved it.Guest review byKarrenCanada - 10.0

Smithers is a beautiful town with lots of great shopping, restaurants, craft breweries, and an abundance of gorgeous mountain scenery. We had a very fun weekend stay and enjoyed all that Smithers has to offer. We liked the Farmer's Market, the shopping (including the thrift and consignment stores), the local craft breweries, the sushi at Blue Water Sushi, and a great day of hiking up to Crater Lake on Sunday. There was also a Main Street Market taking place on the Saturday which was like a street festival with vendors and other activities, music, etc. It was fun.Guest review byJenniferCanada - 10.0

Vanderhoof is a nice little community on the shores of the Nechako River, we spent time on the river and visited the Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre, which was very interesting and we highly recommend.Guest review byNormCanada - 6.0
Room was good but a bit dated and faded.
Room was good but a bit dated and faded. Hot tub was advertised on their website but not operating and looked like it had been down for a while. They advertised hot breakfast but only provided grab and go and that was limited. There was a notice posted about the breakfast but this was only provided at check in. No discount for lack of advertised amenities when I asked.Guest review bySharonCanada - 6.0
My stay in Prince George was fine. No complaints.
My stay in Prince George was fine. No complaints. It was the booking that has me so angry! I booked my stay from a Canadian City to stay in another Canadian City & I paid with a Canadian credit card. Why did my rate become an American rate???? I was led to believe I was paying $112.00 for my room but was actually charged $154.79 I am discusted that you would deceive your customer in this manner & has left me no choice but to sever my relationship with booking.com....... There is plenty of other fish in the sea.Guest review byLienneCanada
