- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 645 reviewsHotel was very nice! Beautiful lobby to sit and relax by the fire with a drink or dinner. Rooms were very big, clean with incredible views of the mountains! Staff and service was top notch! Everyone was very friendly and spoke to you. Huge kudos to Arnos at Primrose. He served us our breakfast the first morning, but always made a point to come talk to use every morning, even if he wasn't our server. He gave us hike recommendations and even provided us a recipe! He's fantastic.Guest review byJoelCanada

Got to see deer and squirrels up close at the Resort in the early morning and a wolf crossing the road. The room was huge with an open fire, lounge and kitchen area.Guest review byDeborahAustralia

We really liked the apartment although some of the furniture seems to be getting a little old. The grounds were awesome, and we enjoyed all the trails nearby. The pool and sauna are beautiful. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed except for sharp knives for some reason.Guest review bySjrltBelgium

Wonderful area to explore the mountains of Canada.
Wonderful area to explore the mountains of Canada. Early October didn't have too many crowds. There are many places to see on your own, so consider renting a car and hitting the road. We truly enjoyed the fresh, mountain air and the downtown area of Banff. Banff is quite expensive, especially going out to eat, so be prepared for that.Guest review byErikaUnited States - 10
What can I say except for WOW!
What can I say except for WOW! My husband and I were there in Sept/Oct and everywhere we turned was another magnificent view of a mountain, glacier, canyon, lake. We rented bikes and rode to Vermillion Lakes and beyond. We hiked up Johnston Canyon, we took easy and more challenging walks, and met people from around the world. We flew into Calgary, drove to Banff, then to Castle Junction and stayed in two places I would recommend - Johnston Canyon Lodge and Bungaloos and Castle Mountain Chalets. We had a great trip!Guest review byChinelli - 10
Banff is a great town!
Banff is a great town! An hour away from Lake Louise and Lake Moraine and the beginning of the Icefields Parkway. Great places to eat! We ate at the Elk & Oarsman, which is changing it's name to just the Elk. Food was great, service excellent, and the view from the rooftop dinning was spectacular! It is a tourist town, but a great place to base a trip to Banff National Park.Guest review bychrisg4jcUnited States - 10
A wonderful spot for a family get-together.
A wonderful spot for a family get-together. We had 6 cabins, close to each other, very clean and big enough to be very comfortable. Kitchens had everything one could think of to prepare our meals. Lots of open space for children to run free and play safely without any worry about traffic. The Johnson Canyon hike just down the road is amazing but it is likely best not to plan to do it on a long weekend in the summer as crowded.Guest review byGailCanada - 8.0

Very much a tourist town, parking is an issue throughout the entire area. Beautiful area, Use tour company or transfer buses from train depot to get to Lake Louise and Lake Morraine, private vehicles not allowed.Guest review byBryan - 10
I can't say enough about the amazing staff!
I can't say enough about the amazing staff! Friendly, accommodating, and understanding. I went for the long weekend with my family that included my 2 year old granddaughter. We arrived a little early & though we were prepared to wait till check in time, we were told our unit was cleaned and we could get in right away. Since I had called ahead regarding sleeping options for the 2 year old, a playpen was there on arrival. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of firewood left as well, as seeing more on the porch the next day. The only slight disappointment was finding out the hot tub was removed during covid. Other than that, it was an amazing, extremely comfortable stay.Guest review byAnonymous
