Really enjoyed stay here . The hotel was very comfortable, in a spectacular location with amazing views. The staff / propriators were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The restaurant / bar and its lovely terrace was a comfortable focus with excellent meals and drinks. Rooms were quite small but very clean and well appointed.

Amazing hotel to visit with young kids, they’ve really thought of everything to entertain them (and give parents a break), our daughter loved it. Beautiful location with amazing views of the valley and mountains.

The friendly approach from the four female staff members I encountered: reception, restaurant, breakfast room and housekeeping. Fabulous, large, comfortable room, recently renovated, high ceilings with tall windows on two sides: one with stunning view of mountain which you could almost touch, and the other of a leafy park. There was also a small private balcony. Located right across the street from the railway station, so couldn't be more convenient, yet it was quiet. On this visit I received a welcome voucher for a beverage of choice from the restaurant and a free pass for travel within Glarnerland.The hotel's motto is roughly to make guests feel at home and I certainly felt comfortable at this hotel. The village of Elm, with an interesting story, is just a short bus ride from the hotel. There are other points of interest there too. Research it. Well worth a visit. Supermarkets and other shops are a short stroll from the hotel.
