Remarkably painless. Location proves strategic - a mere 8 minute 23 second constitutional to Zhangjiajie's park gates. Breakfast apparatus adequate (self-serve coffee machine produced tolerable espresso, surprising given the circumstances).  Facilities performed to specification:  Gym equipment maintained at acceptable levels of oxidation Billiard table pockets demonstrated appropriate receptivity Laundry operations prevented sartorial disaster post-monsoon hike The concierge team displayed unsettling competence - mapped three days' itinerary with alarming precision. One almost felt guilty observing their systematized efficiency.  Ground floor establishment yielded passable dumplings (though the 'Stinky Tofu Incident' shall remain classified).

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for both comfort and a perfect location. The property is situated right next to the entrance of the Zhangjiajie park, which makes exploring incredibly convenient. At the same time, it is tucked away in a quiet, scenic area surrounded by breathtaking mountains. It feels like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of the city — peaceful, relaxing, and immersed in nature. Breakfasts deserve a special mention. They are not only delicious but also very generous in size — honestly, I could easily split them into two meals. Everything was fresh and nicely presented, which made mornings an absolute pleasure. The staff is another highlight of this hotel. Everyone we met was polite, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. And I have to give a HUGE thank you to Winnie. She was our hero during the entire trip — patiently answering all our endless questions, helping us plan routes, and even staying available 24/7 when we needed advice. She even provided us with beautifully designed maps that were so clear and detailed, other travelers asked us where we had gotten them. With Winnie’s support, we never felt lost or uncomfortable for even a moment. The rooms were spacious, clean, and cozy, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. After a long day of exploring, it was a joy to return to such a calm and well-kept space. I also appreciated the little touches — from thoughtful amenities to the warm hospitality that made the hotel feel more personal than many larger, chain properties. If you’re looking for a place that combines excellent service, stunning surroundings, and true relaxation, this hotel is the perfect choice. I left with only the best impressions and would love to come back again.

Perfect location for exploring Zhangjiajie National Park. Rooms are very clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the buffet style breakfast is filling. Loved having access to the pool and bicycles after full days of hiking and sightseeing in the park! It’s a lovely quiet area to unwind and have a break from busy cities. Friendly fluffy dog is always a plus. I stayed three nights - I wish I stayed longer as there was plenty more to do!

What a beautiful place! The first thing I said to my wife when we got into the room was, “I want my bedroom to be like this!” It is so beautifully decorated and well-kept. We arrived extremely early and were allowed to check-in early and have breakfast (cannot say that this is the norm, and should be an expectation, this is just our experience). The bath is lovely and the water-pressure from the shower is amazing…..possibly the best shower I’ve had! We appreciated how close it is to the National Park and the Grand Canyon. The staff were very helpful and so welcoming. We managed to book all of our excursions through the hotel and all of our questions (of which there were many!) were answered. If I were to revisit Zhangjiajie, I would stay at this hotel without hesitation. Oh, and a special thank you for collecting us from the train station!

The staff, with special mention to Anthony, were exceptional. They were communicative, friendly and always ensured we had a plan for the day, ensuring we maximised our sightseeing time. The guesthouse was in a great location, clean and well maintained. Highly recommend for your stay in Zhangjiajie.

Highly recommended for those who is planning to visit Zhangjiajie. Don't worry about the location as it's very convenient to book a Didi to travel around Zhangjiajie. It's common to travel for 20-45mins by Didi from one destination to another in Zhangjiajie as the national parks ate located in different places. The view and facilities of the hotel made us wanted to spend more time in the hotel. The staffs would create a Wechat group upon check in, so that you could request or enquire anything. They are very helpful! It would be a plus point for those who likes dogs and cats too. They even provide free shuttle to airport/train station (they will contact you via Booking.com).

Lovely hotel, the free breakfast was a great help. The owner was a lovely lady who helped us book airport transfer and even helped us book tickets to the glass bridge. She gets a discount too. The location was brilliant. We could walk to the East entrance to Zhangjiajie national forest. We had an amazing stay here and we're sad to say goodbye Wuling town is a treasure.

This is such an incredible place to stay near Zhangjiajie. Being at one of the least popular gates it makes entry to the park easy (10min walk), yet the entrance is well connected by road to major points. The owner was super nice and always helpful. Despite his limited English we were always able to communicate using translator apps. He drove us to the entrance when we asked, looked up bus timetables, he even helped us find new drone propellor within an hour after we clipped them at the park one time. Speaking of drone, if you like flying it this spot is perfect. The park opens way after sunrise and before sunset, however as this place is located in a direct line of sight with the park you can get stunning shots right from the property. It's about a 3km flight, but once you get there your mind will be blown. I recommend the small wooden platform with a wooden heart about 80m right of the property so you don't disturb other guests. The room itself is amazing, bed is huge and super soft. Always clean and smelling nice. Oh, did I mention we got a free room upgrade? You will definitely have a 'purespace' experience here, watching the everchanging moods of this beautiful area through the massive glass windows. The breakfast was included and is simple but yummy. Mostly Chinese option food wise, and its good to note there is not much around so you might need to cab to Wulingyuan if you want lots of food options. It's about 35-40yuan one way on the Didi app. If we ever come back to Zhanjiajie we will definitely stay here again, it made our time here so much nicer!

Overall, the entrance fees of National Park is expensive as it sold as 4 days entry . Tiemen Mt , Grand Canyon and Dragon Caves adding up are costly for family of four. Dining out in restaurants are more expensive than other city like Chong Qing , Shang hai ,etc…. The nature of both mountains are breathtaking and people are friendly.

City with very friendly people from the hotel, the Metro and the tourist places. We loved the Orange Island and the photos we took will always give us memories. The food was not any different from ours back home but it was more tasty. It was easy for us to get around using the metro and taxis.

A very unique place to be. A must visit place. We loved it even though we can’t read Chinese and speak a little only. We enjoyed our very short time there. Even in the rain it was great fun. Wear waterproof trainers when it’s rainy season as your feet will get wet and it can be slippery with the wrong footwear.

Be prepared to walk and climb plenty of steps. Thank goodness they have escalators up Tianmenshen and cable cars & lifts up and down the mountains. Take your time, enjoy the fresh air and awesome views.

Great place to be!

Great place to be! The cost of food and everything is noticeably cheaper compared to the major cities of china. High recommend it if you are a night owl, this city never sleeps and is great for grabbing a drink and late night meal. There are also alot of hidden gems up in the mountains.

The nature in national park and Tianmen mountain and Grand...

The nature in national park and Tianmen mountain and Grand canyon breath taking. The glass cliff walk and glass bridges interesting when not in clouds. People's reactions to them hilarious. Some of the hiking so relaxing and the further you go from the lifts, escalators the closer you feel to nature. Be prepared for steps, weather changes and the golden whip is valley hike that anyone can do at any age and so happy to see whole hike wheelchair accessible.

Although large population, residents are provincial. Lacks the charm of other cities. Entry into downtown area nearly impossible. Traffic unbelievable. Only one entry into main area. Left earlier than anticipated because of the nature of the city. Couldn't be bothered to see more.

The view of the river is so majestic, both during the day and the night! For women, the traditional attire rental is something everyone should try. The booking for Hanfu and Mao clothing are not available online though, but its everywhere once you are in the town.
