Wonderful, clean and modern looking cabins with a beautiful view overlooking Arenal Lake. big and comfortable bed, large and well functioning shower and very good and optimal use of space in the cabin. We were greeted every morning by some birds on top of our cabin, and could see and hear all kinds of wildlife from the deck overlooking the lake. Special mention for the lovely cats running around the property and coming to greet us! The hotel staff provided special vegan options for breakfast every morning, which were absolutely lovely and tasty, and which was well above our expectations. Also a big thank you for allowing us to check in at a very late time at night and staying up late especially to accomodate us, very much appreciated! Driving distance from La Fortuna and many surrounding activities and touristic locations, the cabins are located outside of the touristic area in a beautiful and quiet place.

The breakfast was delicious both mornings. The staff is very friendly and helpful with the planning of our day. The house was incredible and very quiet setting with lush trees and many birds. The river is very serene. Loved the 2 dogs. They are so sweet

We felt so welcome and at home at Toucan Lane thanks to Johanna. We stayed in the most beautifull room with our 2 kids. The location was good to go to the different activities and still enjoy the nature. We would certainly recommed Toucan Lane.

Everything was AMAZING. We did all three tours and can’t recommend them enough. Aurelio was a perfect guide and provided a truly priceless experience. The food was unbelievably good and very reasonably priced, and the staff were all amazing. Our lodging was clean, comfortable, and private. All around it was a very memorable and pleasant experience. We didn’t want to leave.

Definitely the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. It was so great waking up in the tents with a fantastiv view on the vulkano. The tents were very comfortable and awesome. In the morning we even saw some tucans. The best part of our stay were Wendy and Roger. The wete so welcoming, heartwarming, helpful, and fun and it was always nice to have a little chat with them

What best defines this place is the amazing atmosphere created by the hosts. It’s something truly special, unlike anything we’ve experienced elsewhere. It genuinely feels like a home you become part of during your stay. There’s also the opportunity to see beautiful birds up close from the house’s terraces. The hosts were incredibly helpful in planning our days and recommending activities. Lastly, the fantastic breakfast deserves a mention—it kept us full all the way until dinner. We give this place our highest recommendation and would love the chance to visit again.
