- From US$74.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 624 reviewsReliable family safe town. Quiet sleeping. It's a lovely community and everything is a relaxing walk from Lodge. Super clean, zero neglect. The bungalow is accessible, no stairs or barriers to enjoy town. Hot shower is best I had in Canada or Costa Rica. Breakfast was a hit with my 14 year old. Staying more than two days is recommended to relax into the town's vibe and appreciate the ever changing weather. Definitely visit Hacienda Orosi (night pass)!!! This mineral water healed old injury in shoulder and fatigue rose out of muscles and flowed away down mountain, leaving me feeling 15 years younger.Guest review byCarolyn CONRADCanada
- From US$60.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 219 reviewsWe had a wonderful stay. Rolando and his wife were very accommodating and made us feel at ease from the first moment on. They even made us a tea with herbs from their own garden. The view from the balcony is amazing! However, the path to the villa is quite adventurous- especially if you are coming from Turrialba! A 4x4 is highly recommended. We extend our stay as we loved it there. We highly recommend staying at Villas Valle Bello!Guest review byGabrielaGermany
- From US$151.42 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 48 reviewsExcellent service for serious birdwatchers. The owner clearly went out of his way to ensure we had views of some tough species even though the weather was not great. He encouraged us to go enjoy some of the more regular birds while he whistled us in when the Green-fronted Lancebill showed up at the waterfall! What more could a serious birder ask for!Guest review byDaveCanada

Very nice location, lots of animals (saw toucans and hummingbirds very close from our window), quiet, spacious, amazing bathroom and best view of the entire trip. Great host, breakfast, pool! Great place to stay outside of San Jose if you have a few days. There is a nice diversity of things to see, all in a loop if you want to. A number of national parks for hiking and sights (Tapani and both parts of Irazu Volcano - Crater Sector & Prussia. Note that the two Irazu sectors are over 10 miles apart and very different. Crater is basically just that and $15 plus they don't tell you it's $5 more to park when you get there. The crater is empty of water, and has been for many years, don't believe the photos, they're old. The hiking in Prussia sector was superb! Additionally, the Orosi Mirador is nice (free), the oldest church in Costa Rica (Ruins - Free), crafts, and the Lankaster Gardens were beautiful. Lots of options for food in Orosi itself.Guest review byMark MortimerUnited States - 10.0

5 mins drive down the road from Escalar Cachi, the local climbing area -- basically an outdoor climbing gym, with potable water, toilets, guides, top ropes on most routes, a swimming pool, and a nearby river too. Also includes a camping area. 25 mins drive from Paraiso, 1 hour from Volcan Irazu and the Prusia sector forest. A bit further from Turrialba, which was closed due to volcanic activity / covid when I visited.Guest review bynickboldtCanada - 8.0

The lodge is right next to the forest with several walking paths to explore for different levels of difficulty. Tres de Junio is also centrally located between San Gerardo and Santa Maria de Dota, thus making it relatively quick a visit to both as well as other National Parks and trekkings (Tapanti, Los Quetzales and Cerro de la Muerte). Plan for at least 3 nights stay.Guest review byLdA_HVItaly - 10.0
A peaceful spot in the mountains.
A peaceful spot in the mountains. It’s a working farm with very friendly owners. We went horseback riding in the trails and enjoyed the home cooked meals. The perfect place to get away and relax with a book or a friend or a bottle of wine or all of the above. The last few km of the road on the ride up is unpaved, rocky and uphill — drive slowly and you will get there!Guest review byIoannaCanada - 10.0

A small, compact, friendly village in a picturesque valley with easy access to a lovely national park (Tapanti) with its own river. It has it's own public pool and hot springs run by a local hotel. Some good restaurant choices available. Easy access to other areas (Paraiso, Cartago, volcanoes)Guest review byElaineUnited Kingdom
