So full of character with blue shutters, a gorgeous staircase and a stylish entrance that give it a very boutique feel. The atmosphere is very romantic and the rooms are clean and chic. Located in the old town of Limassol there are plenty of fabulous restaurants and bars a stones throw away, as well as a short walk to the more modern harbour and beaches. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant and bar are stunning places to eat, drink and relax. There is even a stunning olive tree in the middle of the dining room. Secure parking on site available too which is a bonus. Limassol is a large city which we didn’t expect.
Limassol is a large city which we didn’t expect. The old town is small with lots of great bars and restaurants. It is next to the marina that also has great bars and restaurants. I was expecting more people in Platres during the summer...
I was expecting more people in Platres during the summer month of may but unfortunately the place looked deserted. Very few restaurants were open to have lunch and dinner, and sometimes the quality was very avarage. It was very good to discover a small medieval town away from mass tourists who are only there to sunbathe. We were interested in learning the history of Cyprus, Lofou offered other aspects of Cyprus other than the sea, swim and sun. Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries near by. It can get busy with coach parties but that is to be expected. Most restaurants and cafes close early evening so not a great deal to do in the evening. Wear comfy shoes as there is a lot of walking round all the narrow streets but it is so worth it. Agros village is a perfect place to escape from busy city life for a couple of days and to enjoy the tranquility of traditional village lifestyle, walk the narrow streets, with beautiful , authentic architecture, meet locals, try local food and of course to recharge yourself with nature and mountain sceneries. Potamitissa itself doesn’t have things to do. However, villages such as Pelendri, Agros, Kyperounta are near by and have plenty of things to do.
